Treasures That Will Please Everybody !

Post by Jordan »

For those of you who are lookinf for Walt Disnet Treasures in Region 2 and with Tins AND with many languages and subtitles, this should make it...

A Swiss website has in stock the belgium sets of the 2 Treasures (Mickey in Living Color Vol.1 and the SIlly SYmphonies) which features :
- French, English and Spanish language tracks in DD 2.0
- Franch, English, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese subtitles !!

All that in the English Tins (UK) !! and only for EUR 24.60 !
It's a good compromise, isn't it ?! :)

Here's the link :
http://dvd-bleu.ch/page/index.php?PHPSE ... y&cat=fdvd

:)
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...

I'm not sure, but on all the other R2 NL Disney DVD's there were English and Dutch menu's. I think it will be the same with the Treasures.

If you've got the Treasures in your "Tasje" you click on "afrekenen" on the right site of the website.

After that you click on "Thuis laten bezorgen"

Under "Nog niet geregistreerd?" you must type first your sex. If you're a man you click on the "Dhr." Or else on "Mvr."

At "Voornaam" you type your name.

At "Tussenvoegsel/Achternaam" you'll type your surname.

At "E-mailadres (dit is tevens de inlognaam)*" you type your e-mail. This is also your log in name.

At "Adres" you type your adress.

At "Huisnummer* / Toevoeging" you type your housenumber.

At "Postcode* / Plaats*" you type your code and city.

At "Land*" you have to pick your country.

At "Telefoon-/GSM-nr." you type your phone number.

At "Geboortedatum (dd/mm/jjjj)" you type your date of birth.

At "Wachtwoord" you choose a password.

I got Silly Symphonies today and it has English menu's too. The tin itself has also got English language descriptions on it (which I have never seen before on a Dutch Disney release). Great set btw! The tin is very nicely done but a bit large. It is going to be a nice exhibition-piece for my dvd-library though. :)

I paid only € 13,99 for it at MediaMarkt here in Zwolle, The Netherlands (no, they don't have an online shop) which is an absolute steal! Disney-dvd's are usually relatively expensive here in Holland (the classics usually go for about 25 euro's) but this is a really nice pricing level. I should be receiving Mickey in Living Colour next week and I can't wait to have it. :)

At request : here's some pictures of the Dutch editions of the Treasure (Silly Symphonies and Mickey in living colour 1. Image-quality is pretty low due to a very bad quality digital camera. :(

There are no other extra's inside the tin except for the disc (in case) which is supported by a velvet-like plastic tray. The back of the tin has English language descriptions at the top and Dutch language specs of the disc at the bottom. The case itself has only Dutch language text on it.

And YES the Mickey-tin has a dent in it. :(

Our tins here in Brazil are different. They aren't oversized - actually, they have the same sizes of the American tins.
They aren't individually numbered as the R1 tins, but under the central picture it is written "Limited Edition - 5,000 Pieces". Well, 5000 in the case of Mickey, 3000 in the case of Silly Symphonies.

The booklet and the litograph are exactly like the American versions.

So they're in English? And do you have English menus? And any links to them?

Hmm, the tin, the coverart and the booklet are all in Portuguese. On the DVD itself, you have the option of choosing from English, Spanish or Portuguese. The menus are available in these three languages, as well as the cartoons.
I have no links to pictures, but you can buy the DVD from www.submarino.com.br and www.dvdworld.com.br
I just warn you that the tin is no big deal (if you are really interested in it). It isn't as good as the American tin, but it does the job. :)

Oh, and our tins don't have the velcro inside and are thinner than their American counterparts. The packaging is a regular white double Amaron, while the American version has those fancier Alpha Double Pack.
