Need Video Camera Advice

Hey guys, sorry for the bother, but I need an advice regarding video cameras. I am working on going on a trip in June and I need a decent video camera.

What I am looking for...

- Decently priced: I can do up to 300 bucks
- Small and easy to carry
- Can do HD and be uploaded to computer

Well, my model is a DV that doesnt necessarily do HD but has good quality. It's only Firewire though; not USB. It's a Canon, about 250 bucks.
