Please, pray for my father...

Post by pap64 »

My dad hasn't been feeling well. Yesterday, my dad had balance issues, and was vomiting, coughing, and with diarrhea. Today, though, he had to be sent to the hospital due to something kidney related. But what truly destroyed me was the look on his face. He looked so lifeless, like he was dealt a crushing blow.

When I said good bye to him, all I could do was rush to my room and cry. It just crushed me.

So, this might be a very selfish request, one I've done in the past, and my apologies. I want prayers for my dad. If you can't, just well wishes and thoughts should work.

I'm scared...

Wow, I'm so sorry for you... That sound absolutely terrible. :( And it isn't selfish of you at all. I will definitely be sending good thoughts and hoping for the best.

I've been there, and I wouldn't call it selfish. You and your dad are in my prayers.

I'm going to pray for your dad and also for you right now. I just prayed for the best, and for things to get better. So, I hope it does. I just hope your dad and you soon aren't in any pain anymore.

And like everyone said you are not being selfish.....on the UD Forums I think of all of us as a family....though dysfunctional at times but what family isn't dysfunctional...but my point is...oh heck let this youtube video show what I mean

I just called mom. They are still at the hospital waiting for the results of the chest X-Rays. It looks like things are not as bad as I thought they were, but dad may need to go to a kidney specialist. They are waiting to see if my dad has to stay overnight or they send him home

Well, dad is home from the hospital. I can't tell if he's doing better or just OK. He definitely looks tired. The only suspicion right now is that the doctors are giving him medicine that gives him side effects, so now they might have to visit them and see what they can do about it.

Like I said earlier, it looks like he might have to find a nefrologist (sp?) to see what they can do about it. From what I know, the issues he may have may cause his blood to get poisoned if not treated. Again, no idea if this is related to the medicine.

I don't want to say that everything is peachy keen, but it looks as if things are not as bad as they looked at first. Really, my dad looked really lifeless in the afternoon, and my mom was extremely serious. Can you blame me for being very worried to the point of tears?

Totally understandable. I'm glad he's doing better than you initially feared and was well enough to come home. Image

I'm glad things are looking up! It's amazing what people can go through and still come out all right. Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery! :)
