I voted for the princess edition, although the purple background looks terrible (and purple is my favorite color)! I do like the original because it's most on-model but the overall design doesn't appeal to me much. And as I was saying in the other thread, the new Blu-ray design simply sucks.
I wish they'd combine the best aspects of the family fun and princess editions into something like this:
I do love the "From the directors of 'Thumbelina'" banner. As if, like, that would make you want to buy it more, as opposed to reading that then recoiling in disgust.
Honestly, all the DVDs have had fairly underwhelming cover art. I guess the original is my favorite, though that might be a nostalgia thing, but the Japanese one is relatively simple and pleasant and more-or-less on model, something that half the covers can't claim to be.
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"

I've found another cover which says "Family Fun Edition" but it can't be the U.S. version since I own that DVD and it has the cover I had posted before. Anyone knows what's going on?

I think it is from the U.S. because I saw that exact cover when I went to Target once. Guess they realized how ugly the characters were on the first one and decided to change it?

The cover art for all the releases in are just horrible. I only have the first release and am not prone to upgrading much these days, anyway, since I hardly find myself re-watching things. Still, back when I did upgrade more, I refused to buy the Family fun edition on mere basis of the lame title and silly-looking case. Yeah -- I can be shallow sometimes too, okay?
WIST #1 (The pinkrenata Edition) -- Kram Nebuer: *mouth full of Oreos* Why do you have a picture of Bobby Driscoll?
The original, definitely. All later covers are much too "Princess-sy" for me. I'd love for Fox to have utilised one of the original cinema poster concepts for the Blu-ray release, though.

Or this though I'm not sure if this is a real poster or fan art....
since it looks very very similar to this Disney Poster but maybe it's just me

If this is the cover art they are using( first posted ) i suggest they should get rid of the pink logo box, and the teal color logo, and use the one in Enimawing's fan cover (which is btw awsome!)
I just rewatched my VHS copy of Anastasia last night to remind myself if I like this movie or not in anticipation of the Blu-ray release. I'm pretty much on the fence right now, so I don't know if I'll get it.
Is there any chance this will be a combo pack or are we getting Blu-ray only? Some might laugh at me, but that extra DVD would sweeten the deal for me a bit, since I only have a Blu-ray player in one room.

From the looks of it, we're getting a Blu-ray only release. The DVD has already been released separately.
