It's funny how that is also the order of release dates latest to oldest. So naturally, age might play a role the restoration process.Disneykid wrote: VIDEO:

Actually, no. In order it would be [latest to oldest]:Victurtle wrote:It's funny how that is also the order of release dates latest to oldest. So naturally, age might play a role the restoration process.Disneykid wrote: VIDEO:

I think Disneykid meant the order they were released theatrically, in which case their list is correct. Your list is also right, in terms of recent releases on home video, which is what I think you were going for.Lorddh wrote: Actually, no. In order it would be [latest to oldest]:

note: lengthy lead-in to the Alice question
I got the Beauty and the beast combo pack when it came out and watched the dvd because at the time I didn't have a blu-ray player. Everything looked fine. I then got a blu-ray player over the holidays and put the Beauty and the Beast blu in this weekend.
The first thing that struck me was the ink lines in the character animation being too bright. Ink lines are supposed to be black, not black surrounded by incandescent white. I felt like I needed sunglasses to watch the film. It was distracting and gave me a headache. I put the dvd, a Snow White blu, and a Fantasia blu in the machine and they all looked normal.
Do you have any idea what I'm looking at, and have you noticed anything like this with the Alice blu?

That was for Victurtle, who was the one who said that.MJW wrote:I think Disneykid meant the order they were released theatrically, in which case their list is correct. Maybe it's the natural color scheme. IDK. I might need to put in my own copy again to see if I'm infected with that problem, but I doubt it.bringtytlaback wrote:Disneykid wrote:I got my advanced copy today and should have that review up for you guys in a few days. Most of the time they are. From what I hear, this release is totally worth it - for fans of the film - as it EXPANDS on the DVD (unlike other Disney Blu-Ray releases, which cut down the art galleries and REPLACE old features with new).CampbellzSoup wrote:I think Disney releases are totally worth it.
If this was one of my favorites - like Aladdin or Lilo & Stitch - then I'd pay full price. Since it's not and I only want it because I'm a completist, the $10 coupon really makes a difference.

UPDATE: Someone over at Blu-ray.com has posted Best Buy's prices for next week, and they are listing Alice in Wonderland at $19.99. Not sure if this has been verified, but that's a good deal, especially if you get a coupon on top of it!
With all this willingness to pay full price, let's hope that no one from Disney marketing browses this forum or we'll ALL be paying full price from here on out! lol j/k
If we are getting a coupon, I'm thinking we'll see it become available on Thursday (at least I hope so). I've only been buying titles on release day for the last 2 releases, but I've already become accustomed to these coupons so I hope they continue the tradition.
Alice is currently listed for $27.99 on Amazon, but I hope that it goes down a little bit at my local stores. Toys R Us has been great with prices, I was able to get BATB for $12.99 and Fantasia for $16.99 with coupons, so I am hoping to get Alice for around the same (hopefully closer to the $12.99 end of the spectrum).

Thats a good price! Hopefully a coupon is released. I'm on the fence about upgrading this title to Blu-ray, but for potentially $10 to $12 I'll buy day 1.MJW wrote:UPDATE: Someone over at Blu-ray.com has posted Best Buy's prices for next week, and they are listing Alice in Wonderland at $19.99. Best Buy has updating the Alice in Wonderland pre-order price to $19.99 on their site.
Also, someone posted on the Blu-ray.com forum that someone on the DMR Facebook page told them to keep an eye out for the coupon soon...but take that for what it's worth at this point...
I am hoping Toys R Us has this title for the same price or at least will match it, because I think I am going to pre-order Bambi when I buy Alice to save an additional $5. Does anyone know if you "lock-in" a price when you reserve a title at TRU, or will I still be able to get it cheaper if the price goes down before release day?

hahaha that was me who asked Penny, and all she said was to keep an eye out. So it should be out soon. And thats an amazing price for Alice ! Hopefully I get my printer to work, cause getting it for 9.99 is a great deal. Especially when Alice is one of my all time favorite film.MJW wrote:Best Buy has updating the Alice in Wonderland pre-order price to $19.99 on their site.
