Cinderella Castle Walk-Through!!!!!!!!!

Post by Disney Duster »

!!1!!1!!11!!!!!!!!!!

HELLS YEA!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, well, I agree with pap, but I also want to say that I could see how Cinderella owned the castle, had pictures of all her friends (other Disney good guys), and then the villains took over because Cinderella's castle was the hub of all the magic and the best place to try and take over.

But isn't this just like Sleeping Beauty's walk-through, so it seems that that walk-through being redone led to this idea! I secretly wished I could see a Cinderella walk-through with dioramas and art and prettiness...and NOW I WILL!!! Well, someday...

Also, Disneyland Paris got such a great Sleeping Beauty walk-through in their wonderful castle, and I hope this one will be somewhat like it, somewhat as cool, or even more cool!

This is perfect, really for the castle. The ballroom concept, however, doesn't look much like the one in the film, as I would know of course. If they want the ballroom to look awesome, they should probably try to make it look like how it did at night. You went underground in the Mystery Tour, so maybe they can darken it enough.

And you know, Lady Tremaine with her evil glowing eyes, and Lucifer, also glowy-eyed, could always be trying to take over, and even pop out at you, too. What if you had to defeat her...with the fairy godmother's wand or something?

Or maybe like choosing who will get the sword in the Mystery Tour, they could choose who would get the slipper, (one-size fits all), and by fitting it, your princess (or prince?!) and order the evil to go away, or something.

One is not too far away from Cinderella Castle at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.

Aw! That's fantastic! I'll have no excuse to not go to Japan with my insane otaku friends!

Eh, i like the Horned King better as the main villain. Lady Tremaine is evil, yes, but i dont think she has dark magical powers like him. Unless they could do seperate walkthrough's in the same attraction? (One path leads to the Horned King, one leads to Maleficent, etc.) one could always dream.. :D

But im really bummed out that the attraction is closed, it looked and sounded really cool! Mind you, even if it was still open, i would never be able to afford going there.. But still!

Cinderella Castle Walk-Through!!!!!!!!!

It seems this attraction has a title! Drum roll please...

Cinderella's Fairy Tale Hall!

It worries me that might mean they make it about many fairy tales instead of just Cinderella's, but no changes from the original version of just telling her story has been announced.

But a possible opening date has also been rumoured, and that is May 31, 2011. Or at least Spring 2011. YAY!!!!

Kraken Guard, yes, if it was about any villains taking over the castle of the whole kingdom, that would make sense, but this is Cinderella's Castle, why would the magic mirror even be in there unless all the Disney characters know each other and Snow White let Cinderella have it, which makes sense, but...

But if we were to make it more specific to Cinderella, cause it's Cinderella's castle, Lady Tremaine would fit best. She could still try to take over and her popping out at you would still be scary. Lucifer could jump at you. The stepsisters could try to claw your clothes off. Lady Tremaine could even steal the wand like in Cinderella III, and a member of the group gets it back, and stop the evil spell.

There are videos of the original Mystery Tour, just look on Yotube and other places, fan sites and such!

Yeah, i've seen a few videos on YouTube of the tour.. I hate to say it, but i fell in love with that AA of the Horned King  (Of course, i think the Davy Jones effect in Pirates tops them :P)

True, good point now that you mentioned it.. Still, it's a shame to see that the attraction closed. I hope they'll make something similer down the road (Include the Horned King please, i feel bad for the poor guy! :( ) Might make a fanfic about that.. ^_^

I am so sorry to hear this! But the good part is I do not have to take Japanese as a course to get on this attraction! If they did something similar at WDW with Dr. Faclier, Ursula, Jafar, and Queen Narissa for Cinderella's castle, it will be like Heaven!

Cool article. And funny, too -- Sandy Duncan as Peter Pan and Skeletor from He-Man!

I didn't know the dragon from Disneyland Paris had a Japanese counterpart. I wish they could bring him to one of the U.S. parks!

I knew there was a dragon in Tokyo's(although tokyo's seems smaller) I did not know that tokyo's predates it.

Thanks for posting that article Amy! Lots of good info.

I think the reason Black Cauldron worked for the attraction was that it had similar gothic imagery to Snow White and Sleeping Beauty that made it work alongside those features as well as in the castle enviroment. The volume of exposition given also helped to explain everything to those who had never seen the movie.

The attraction with its walking, stairs and scary imagery would never make it work in the US, which is a shame.
