Hey everyone,
I just moved to Los Angeles, and I don't know a lot of people here. THought it would be nice to connect with some fellow Disney-fans, if any of you out there meet occasionally as a group.
Also trying to break into the animation biz, so if anyone has any connections, advice, or wants to critique my work, I;d love that too!
Living in Hollywood..gimme a shout y'all!

Ah, Hollywood, land of my birth. I lived most of my life in LA and while I'm in Utah right now, I'm itching to get back there soon.
I'm not in the animation industry, but it is the love of my life and I know a few people that are. I'd say, one idea, is to check out the various companies' web sites and look for intern jobs. If you have the right degree, you may even want to jump the gun and just look for who is hiring animators.
Fine out what animation events are going on in LA. In LA, they happen all the time. Get a subscription to Animation Magazine.

These are great resources to know what is going on. Get out to these events, meet people, make friends. Animation at the end of the day is just another part of Hollywood, and there it is all about who you know.
When I lived there, I loved to go to the Santa Monica beach, get on the pier and just draw. The LA Zoo is another great place for that, you may wish to think about a year pass. It is not far from you and it is a great place to draw.
I hope some of those ideas help. Good luck. For what it is worth, if I was still there, I'd meet you. I'm always looking for animation friends.
