Other Animation SURVIVOR - Round 5 (Final 10)
Voted out so far...
Round 1 - Recess: School's Out, Teacher's Pet
Round 2 - Doug's First Movie, Piglet's Big Movie
Round 3 - The Jungle Book 2, Dinosaur
Round 4 - James and the Giant Peach, Return To Neverland
And now we continue the hunt for the next Survivor to join the ranks of our reigning champ, The Lion King!
It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the Disney animated film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least.
For the purposes of the game, we'll use the site definition for 'Other Animation,' which is any animated film distributed by Disney, excluding Disney Feature Animation. This includes anything made by Walt Disney Television or Pixar, and any films that fall into special, outside categories of theatrical animation. You can see the site's list of Other Animation here.
At the end of the round, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 6th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire (as you hopefully know from the last game).
You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.
We're down to the top 10 now. As previously stated, starting with this round, only one movie will leave the Disney Island in each round, which is down from the usual 2 movies in the last 4 rounds.
So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these movies (Final 10):
The Brave Little Toaster
DuckTales: The Movie- Treasure of the Lost Lamp
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Toy Story
A Goofy Movie
A Bug's Life
Toy Story 2
The Tigger Movie
Monsters, Inc.
Finding Nemo
Voting ends at 12:00 pm (EASTERN TIME) on Saturday, May 29th.

Well in all honesty I don't think very many of us have seen The Brave Little Toaster. That includes me.

All of those are great -- and Luke, DEFINATELY grab yourself a copy of Brave Little Toaster on DVD, really sweet movie, reminds me of something Pixar would make.
All of these are solid productions and I'm glad we're finally rid of all of the cheapquel-turned-theatrical junk. Out of those though I'm going to have to go with DuckTales The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp. It's very solid entertainment and I like it, but it just doesn't stand up to something like the Pixar movies or even A Goofy Movie. It feels like a low-rent work-in-progress version of Aladdin, which came out a couple years later, and there's nothing wrong with that nessesarily, but it won't stack up against the other, more original and engaging, movies.

Yes, Luke, you should definitely check out Brave Little Toaster.. all of them are pretty good, but the first one is wonderful! I agree with Jake, it's somewhat Pixar-ish in content. However, I don't really think there's any shame in voting for something you haven't seen, if you're comfortable with it... our votes are reflections of how we feel and what we know of the films at the time.
For the upteenth time, The Tigger Movie.

I think this round has brought in the fewest number of votes of both games (just 17), presumably because it took place entirely over a summer weekend. At any rate, we have a tie.
One of these two movies will leave for this round, please cast your vote against only one:
The Brave Little Toaster
The Tigger Movie
Voting in the tie-breaker ends at 11:00 pm (eastern time) on Sunday, May 30th.
