That's very true, Patrick. But STILL...

After reading Jackoleen's posts, I decided to look around on the internet a bit. There's a huge amount of animated 'Disney porn' on the net (which shouldn't surprise anyone, since every geek's niche can be found online) and most of it is about the Disney princesses (obviously), BUT...

and this creeps me the fuck out...

there's also animated pornographic images online of Disney's *animal* characters. (Even human characters having it on with animal characters.) I wondered who would ever get turned on by this. Then I remembered Jackoleen...

Obviously I won't give out any links here. ;)
You obviously never heard of the rule 34? It's a classic rule of the internet:
If it exist, there is porn of it. No exceptions.

I can never quite tell whether your being serious or not with some of your observations Jackoleen  as entertaining as they are, I do think you sometimes read too much into some of the more gentler of the Disney characters like Geppetto and Timothy. I haven't seen Dumbo for over a year but from what I remember of the character, I don't think Timothy had an ulterior motive for befriending Dumbo. In every underdog story there has to be one character who believes in that underdog and Timothy serves that function in the film. I suppose he get's his faith and loyalty rewarded in the end because I don't remember any hint of him having an ulterior motive.

I'm intrigued by your interpretation of Jiminy Cricket when he has always seemed to be Disney's impreccably-moralled mascot for goodness. Is there anything in particular he does in the film that gives you this impression?
We're not going to Guam, are we?

I laughed out loud so freaking much! Aha,hahahaha!

DDivinity, I do think you are right about Gepetto, but I remember, as a child, him being so violent in the way he grabbed Pinocchio when his finger was on fire and took him to the fish bowl with him wailing. But that's just me wishing he did it gentler, I think. And thanks for laughing at my line about the Blue Fairy!
Jackoleen wrote:He sort of wants to chicken out when he realizes that Pinocchio's father is trapped inside the belly of a whale (Religious reference to the story of Jonah, of course), but, by this time, he's had enough of an influence on Pinocchio that the living doll has begun to develop his OWN conscience.
I think some of your theories could possibly be true, I find some of the clocks too violent, and Jiminy not all that innocent, but I don't think Gepetto was bad. Nothing he did, except the clocks, indicated any badness, and really, the clocks are more funny than bad.

But when Pinocchio went to save Gepetto, this was not just beacause he had his own conscious. It was because he loved Gepetto and badly wanted to save someone he loved, and who loved him!

I know, to both of those things. I'm workin' on it. I've been behind.

But I also wanted to say, I laughed that much beacuse it's so funny because it's true! Well, I don't think it's got every single person on the planet's fantasy, but juuuust about.
