I don't know if any of you have ever tried this before, but you type in the name of a celebrity and it will generate a fake story about their death, injury, or the ever popular "______ is the Masturbation World Champion!"

Here's one I just did:
BREAKING NEWS - STILL DEVELOPING...

Fullerton, CA (MediaFetcher December 30, 2010) - Actor Donald Trump has been reported to be in serious condition and taken to Golden State Regional Hospital after a minor traffic accident that escalated into a physical altercation in Fullerton CA, a suburb 30 minutes south east of Los Angeles.

Witness reports indicate that Donald Trump's BMW struck a pickup truck towing landscaping equipment. Three men exited the truck and extracted him from the vehicle then began kicking and punching the actor before fleeing the scene.

"He didn't have a chance against these men who attacked him before he said a single word to them", replied a visibly shaken onlooker.

Donald Trump was unresponsive upon the arrival of police officers and EMT's, but appeared to be breathing according to eyewitness reports.

This story is developing as we await confirmation regarding the eyewitness details and official health status.

You'll never guess what happened to Anne Shirley (Megan Follows) today.
St. Tropez, France (MediaFetcher December 30, 2010)

The French Maritime Gendarmerie, a division of the French Navy responded to distress calls from 10 persons aboard a 120' luxury yacht cruising off of the coast of St. Tropez. Actress Megan Follows was reportedly vacationing aboard the privately chartered vessel.

Search and rescue teams have been dispatched to the location of vessel with the aide of GPS emergency tracking devices and confirmed that it is completely submerged. Due to severe weather conditions and rough seas, rescue teams were forced to retreat.

Additional details and information will be forthcoming

Oh, and I forgot to mention, after you create a story, you can email and tweet it to see if you can get it to go viral.

That's a very, very BAD idea. I hope nobody will have the extremely poor judgement to do anything like that. It's no joke to spread the news of somebody's death/accident or something damaging to their career. Imagine those fake articles were about you. Would you want them to go viral and have your family members read you had died in an accident?

People are already doing it. Have you ever picked up a tabloid at the checkout counter? And nobody would make up fake stories about me any more than they would blind me with camera flashes whenever I walk down the street. That's because I'm not famous. Fair or unfair, it's something that celebrities have to deal with.

The fact that other people are doing it is no excuse for doing it yourself. I'm sure you're familiar with the old question: "if everybody jumped of a bridge... ?" And tabloids write all mkinds of junk, but I've never seen them declare anybody dead that wasn't.

I guess "imagining" something is too hard a thing to ask at a Disney forum, of all places... I wish every celebrity would sue every tabloid that printed a false story about them, instead of letting it slide.

Oh, believe me, I can imagine myself having more money than I'd know what to do with. If the trade-off is that I have to remind my friends and family not to believe everything they read, I could handle that.
