So what do we think the chances of a bonus wedding feature being included with the DVD/Blu ray release?

Seeing the concept art they had for it leaves me to believe they were planning one pretty late into production.. That would be the perfect gift

Well, we have 1 Chinese princess (Mulan), 1 Native American princess (Pocahontas), 1 African American Princess (Tiana), 1 Arabian princess (Jasmine), 1 French princess (Belle), and 5 Disney princesses that are yet to be confirmed (Every other princess not yet listed, including Rapunzel.)

Maybe your right. That wouldn't be diverse enough. XD

I've been meaning to post about this.

I went to see the movie again, this time with my nephew.

...He loved it. He ABSOLUTELY loved it! I mean, he merely liked Princess and the Frog last year, but he really enjoyed Tangled. He is a 16 year old teenager, so apparently all the attempts at making the movie more universal worked. He loved the songs, he really liked the comedy and was genuinely touched by the story.

I also noticed the animation a little closer and I may be as bold as to say that it is better than any of the recent Pixar films. Yeah, crazy. But the facial expressions and character animation was really good and full of life. You can tell than an experience animation was behind this film.

Because she had a crush on a military captain. Obviously you haven't seen Mulan. (I don't think Tangled meant to say Mulan is a princess, just going over the ethnicity of those included of the line.

Weekend Box Office Report: “Tangled” Will Top “Tarzan”

Early next week, it will surpass Tarzan to become the highest-grossing Disney feature in the US since The Lion King. It is a worthwhile accomplishment, however in terms of admissions, the film lags far behind its predecessors:

Tangled: 21,132,075 admissions through January 2, 2011 (approx.)
Tarzan: 33,679,491 admissions (approx.)
The Lion King: 78,598,511 admissions (approx.)

I think it's expected that the admissions for Tangled probably would be lower, due to inflation and the fact that a good portion of ticket sales were for 3D showings, which are more expensive and could put off some families with young children (from experience, most 3D showings have less kids in the audience than their 2D equivalents). Needless to say, the fact that the figures themselves have beaten Mulan, Enchanted and Lilo and Stitch, and will very easily beat Tarzan, is pleasing.

The worrying thing is that studio execs will look at the numbers and immediately declare traditional hand drawn animation is dead.

It is very pleasing and while attendance wise Tangled may have lower attendance it probably will at least surpass Lilo and Stitch in financial earnings even when adjusting that movie's total for inflation.

Bottom line is that Tangled is WDFA's biggest hit in ages and that alone is worth getting excited about, high budget or not.

what could possibly be done for a sequel... it takes place... 16 years after the first film because she has to grow that hair back... I mean... what else could they get tangled in? It makes less sense the more you think about a sequel.

I say it's not happening. If they're wise they'll just adapt The Snow Queen similarly to Tangled and then slap a "from the creators of Tangled" on it and they'll have an instant hit.

Happy New Year Disney fans of America. Just thought I send a message to celebrate the new year for you all. Anyways, I have read the site about a sequel for Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," and it makes me wonder. Do you guys think that Disney should make a sequel? Because to tell you the truth, I think that it should not be necessary. And besides, they did not make a sequel for Disney's, "Bolt," Disney's, "The Princess and the Frog," or other Disney films that have a good story. Why this one? Just curious.

By the way, the day that I have posted my first message on the previous messages about Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," forgive me for not introducing myself. I am Polizzi, half Disney fan, half Non-Disney fan. it may sound ridiculous about who I am, but I will say this. I really enjoyed watching all of Disney's animated movies very much, including Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," and I like all of them, well most of them but not entirely all. Anyways, true that I can be annoying and some times not that smart about Disney films, but I was just trying to show my support for Disney, that is all. We all support Disney under Disney's castle, including Mickey Mouse's magic hat.

Anyways, if Disney really wants to create a sequel for, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," then they better come up with a great story. But I think it would not be necessary. Besides, every time DreamWorks Animation unleashes their animated movies that became a bit hit despite the box office, they always announce for sequels. For example, they have announced two sequels for, "How to Train Your Dragon," two more sequels for, "Madagascar," and (this may sound crazy to you Disney fans.) five more sequels for, "Kung Fu Panda." I will send you the site about the sequels from DreamWorks Animation on the next message. In the meantime, have a happy 2011.

I think people are reading way too much around that article. They talk about the possibility of doing a sequel but it's by no means a done deal.
