I dont have time to fully elaborate, but will do as soon as !

I pictured it gold and glittering as well; JUST like in the movie.

Like I said, I would have loved it to have been a whole ride, just like the Harry Potter one, where you travel all the way through Hogwarts, and it is just like it is from the movie.

I know it isnt true, and may probably never happen, but a girl can dream ! :D

Do you think Disney will try and step up their game now that harry potter world has been completed; will they try to come up with something on the level of / even better than the HP ride ?

I have a lot of things I'd like to see added to Disneyland. Here's just a few of them:

1. Bring Mickey's PhilharMagic to Disneyland. I think the best location is in the Fantasyland Theater area, facing the entrance to Mickey's Toontown. And speaking of which...

2. Expand Mickey's Toontown and give it some more attractions, ones that are actually worthwhile ones. I'll go into details later.

3. Bring the PeopleMover back! Maybe it could load and unload in the Carousel Theater building where Innoventions is now. The queue could be a trip into Disneyland's (or at least Tomorrowland's past).

4. Redo the Autopia so they run on some non-gasoline fuel source, like electricity or solar power. Maybe have the puttering sounds of the cars play on hidden speakers in the cars.

5. Tweak Pirates of the Caribbean so that it's win-win for both ride and movie fans. Have Paul Frees' "evil curses" line restored, maybe play in the area of the treasure cave (which, incidentally, was kinda how it was featured when they showed the ride on TV). Elsewhere in the ride, all references to the characters looking for Capt. Jack Sparrow and the treasure will be edited so they will be looking only for the treasure. This means that Barbossa's lines (during the ship-to-shore battle) about this will be edited accordingly, as will those of the pirates dunking the mayor in the well (going back to the original, non-movie dialog).

I'll mention more later.

Sounds like the queue area for the infamous Rocket Rods! ;) But I do agree that the PeopleMover probably ought to be brought back in some form or another; the track still exists, doesn't it?

I agree with the electric car idea. I know they have an electric Autopia at Hong Kong Disneyland, and I'm sure there was talk about making Disneyland Paris' Autopia electric (they might even have implemented it; I'd never go on Autopia to see the differences anyway), but it ought to be on the cards for each Autopia or equivalent. Not only would it be more environmentally friendly, but it would also resonate with the original theme of Tomorrowland since it would show a glimpse into a changing future (or at least for the short term)! :D

I agree with these two points. Mickey's PhilharMagic is amazing. We saw it a few times when we were in WDW.

Could the People Mover be made similar to Tomorrowland Transit Authority at WDW. I remember those People Movers at DL.

Atlantica, that sounds incredible and great, but, I thought about it, and I would love more to take in the whole world of the film. To get up close to Ariel's treasures, too touch Ursula's magical things, to play with Triton's trident! Maybe it could be like a walk-through where there are animatronics there that are really realistic and true to the film, and you can't interact with them but they are blocked off, while you can get closer to and touch and play with other areas of the world, all true to the film as can be.

A ride would be cool. A non-animatronic walk-through would be cool. I don't know which to pick, but since there will be a ride in two parks, this Tokyo thing is a great addition, and if it was just more true to the film, and you could interact and play with more things from the film, that would be what I want, what about you?

Though I guess it could be like the Harry Potter thing which is the ride, and then you get to explore the rest of Harry Potter, right? But unfortunately the things I would want to see on the Mermaid ride and the Mermaid things I would want to touch and play with would be the same things!

Elaborate, elaborate what you want!

Yeah, I guess it could be like TTA. In fact, I would like to rename it to that.

This is another idea from the person that brought you Herbie Racing and Step in Time!
Bring over the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour to Disneyland and Disneyworld. Let it be like the original attraction, but this time add more "current" Villains (like Dr. Faclier, Ursula, Scar, and Queen Narissa, along with The Horned King, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Chernobog from the original attraction, so there is more danger).

Sort of similar to the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour, at Disneyland and the World there could be Tiana's Mansion Tour. It is simple, you get to tour Tiana's beautiful Palace with a tour guide. Or will you? Just as you go into the Dining room, uninvited guests arrive! Yes, the Disney Villains! Dr. Faciler is back and wants to take over the Magic Kingdom. With the help of 4 other Disney Villains and "His Friends on the Other Side," they turn Tiana's Mansion and hopefully not the Cinderella Castle into the place where Nightmares Come True. As you enter the worlds of Dr. Faciler, Scar, Ursula, Queen Narrisa, and Jafar, it seems that they are in control! Of course, if you don't know if good will triumph, you obviously need to rewatch your Disney Movies!
No, I don't like it. We've already got a "mansion" attraction and that's the Haunted Mansion!

Oh, then allow me to rephrase! This is my idea in your perspective. My idea is to bring the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour from Tokyo Disneyland to the US, using the villains it already has along with more "current" ones (such as Queen Narissa, Jafar, Scar, Dr. Faciler and Ursula, along with Chernobog, the Horned King, The Evil Queen, and Maleficent). I said "mansion" because I felt uneasy puting it into the castle with that hotel and everything, I was afraid it might waste space! Is that better?

Yes, but unfortunately, the Mystery Tour is gone now.

And when you least expect it, more ideas that are sure to backfire!
~ A Dark Ride for Disneyland and WDW based on Bambi. They have Dark rides for all the pre-1950 minus package features. It is called Bambi's Forest Adventures for All the Seasons. You travel through a green room resembling grass while the song "Love is a Song" plays. Winter leads to The Ice-skating scene, where guests on this ride actually skate along with Bambi and Thumper (yes, it goes around in circles!). Then you enter another room with the song "Let's Sing A Gay Little Spring Song." and you actually get to see Bambi with his mother and his adventures as a fawn (is that what Baby Deers are called?), and later on, you will see "Twitterpation." It might sound boring, but the next two scenes make up for it. You hear the song "I Bring you A Song." and travel through a meadow, where Deers cross your path. If Black Cats crossing your path is bad enough, Deers crossing your path is even worse! You actually have a run in with Ronno, who tries to destroy your log. Then, a Forest Fire (imitation, of course) breaks out and your Log reaches speeds up to 40 MPH to escape from that and the Huntin' Dogs! Your log will actually "fly" to escape. Then of course, your ride ends with the ending from Bambi.
~ Ride in Cruella's Car as a Roller Coaster.
~ Bring Back Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
~ Bring over Pinocchio's Daring Journey to WDW.

They do not have dark rides for all the pre-1950 features. They only have them for Snow White and Pinocchio, plus a non-dark ride ride for Dumbo. That's it.

I don't know about Cruella's Car. And Mr. Toad is still at Disneyland, but I do agree about adding the Pinocchio ride to WDW. It wouldn't be the same ride as in Disneyland exactly, however.

What a great thread! :D It really gets my creative juices flowing!

I really like the idea of a ride in Cruella's car! That's gotta be the best car in all the Disney films. I also like the Bambi dark room idea. It reminds me of the scenes in the L.A. Museum of Natural History, but way better, since it wouldn't incorporate real stuffed animals.

Ever since Monsters Inc. came out, I've always wanted to ride on a roller coaster based on the door warehouse scene. It always seemed perfectly set up for a roller coaster to me. There'd be plenty of climbs and drops and maybe even glimpses into some of the houses from the movie (like the house in Paris, the trailer in the bayou, or the house in Nepal). I got all excited when I found out a Monsters Inc. attraction was coming to Disneyland, but I find the dark room ride to be very uninspired. :(

I'd love to see a scene from Mulan recreated. It would be neat to walk through her garden up to the shrine or sit under the cherry tree. There's not really any room for this in Disneyland as of right now, but if Disney's taught me anything, it's to dream! :D I'd also love to see a ride based on the movie, but I don't know what kind of ride would best suit it.

It would also be cool if a scene from Lady and the Tramp could be worked into Main Street.

As promised (although it was a long time waiting, I know), I will now start discussing ideas for improving Mickey's Toontown into something more worthwhile.

But before I start, I know I had created a thread on it some time ago, but it's really old and I decided to just move on rather than revive it.

Anyway, to start with, some of the things I want to do with the area is remove any problematic attractions that have been neutered by alleged safety issues, including Donald's Boat, Goofy's Playhouse and Chip 'n' Dale's Treehouse, all of which will be scrapped and new homes for these characters will serve as the queues for newer and more worthwhile attractions in Toontown. We'll make it like Critter Country, which at least has one thing worthwhile (case in point, Splash Mountain). And Gadget's Go Coaster will also be torn down and a new coaster will be replacing it. Now, before you criticize me for doing that one in particular, just hear me out: who besides us Disney fanatics really remembers "Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers"?

In the end, about the only ties left with the "old" Toontown will be only the things between Mickey's House and the Roger Rabbit ride, and even they will touched up.

First and foremost, I will touch up on something in the Roger Rabbit ride. The remodel it will receive will not be anything major, not even anything to write home about. Most of it will be in the queue area, in fact. First of all, the plate that reads FAN T C will be replaced by one reading FAN T ZA (meaning "Fantasia"). The year on that one will still be 1938. But the most attention will be on the second set of plates, seen in this picture here:

Image

Two brand-new plates will be added to this set, one on the very top of the stack (almost touching the ceiling) and the other below the 1D N PTR one and next to the IM L8 one. The one on the very top will read ALADN, the displayed year being 1940. And the one near the bottom will read DONL DUK, its year being 1934.

Elsewhere in the ride, a new radio broadcast on Baby Herman's radio will be featured. Much of it will be similar to the old one, but mainly with all references to WACKY Radio being replaced by a new station, dubbed KRAZY Radio (KRAZY, in fact, will also be the new radio station for all of Toontown, as heard in Mickey and Minnie's houses), as well as feature a new sponsor for the broadcast, in addition to the Big Bad Wolf Demolition Company: Von Drake's House of Genius (Von Drake himself is then heard on the radio saying, "This is the house, and I'm the genius."). In the ride, there will be the sounds of cartoon tires squealing here and there, and in the scene with the evil laughing clowns, an additional laughing sound is heard, sounding very much like the laughing hyena sound from Small World.

Next time, I will go into more detail on new attractions. Until then, what do you think?

I'm a Disney fanatic who doesn't even remember "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers," but I do know it's that Gadget's Go Coaster is the best ride in ToonTown. You can't rip it out! :o Unless, of course, it would be an even better coaster. What would you want to do with it?

Well, I would have a new coaster that anyone can ride, with or without children. The only thing I can tell you about the ride theme is that it will be themed to Goofy.

I ride Gadget's, and I don't have kids. I'm not about to let tacky theming keep me from riding it. 8)

So, we'd have Goofy's Flight School in DCA and a Goofy roller coaster in ToonTown? I think I'd like the idea of Donald, Daisy, Minnie, or Chip & Dale better. Or even Pete! That might be fun!

But he won't have a presence in Toontown. I just like all the characters to be able to stay together.

And the reason I considered redoing the roller coaster at Toontown is not because the theme is tacky, but because it's outdated. Let's be honest. Who, besides us serious Disney fans, really knows about "Rescue Rangers"? At least Goofy is timeless.

I also think that Goofy is really the only one who is truly worthy of a ride like this.
