I'm just going to throw this out there: maybe the original crocs has too many teeth and seemed they would eat the birds? Too bad, I like the many triangle shapes they included in the drawing.

Let me make it clear though, I do not like the redoing of this sequence.

well the crocs WERE eating the birds already! LOL It's just that the damned song caught them in the middle of their meal and it was so catchy that they had to sing it :D

At what point was artwork for the Diamond Edition of Beauty and the Beast discovered?

With The Lion King being the Fall release for 2011 (as BATB was for 2010), I am anxious to know when the cover artwork will start to show up!

Just for fun, I've just made a cover, since this is my favorite Disney movie and can't hardly wait to have this! I hope you like it ;)

That's a nice design! It really looks like something Disney would do too, since they seem to be partial to blue tones for their Blu-ray release covers.

I'm looking forward to all the future DAC on Blu-ray releases, but The Lion King is going to be a big deal and will hopefully sell extremely well. Beauty and the Beast made it's mark on the format, so I hope The Lion King knocks it out of the park.

I just hope that this release will include the making of bit from the 1994 video release and later Laserdisc...which I think was hosted by none other than James Earl Jones! :o

Why would Disney import such an old making-of feature when they can make a shiny new one or import a slightly less older one?

I expect they're gonna pour most of their focus into another interactive documentary.

I hope the sideways title thing doesn't become a trend.

Wow, that's unique. Strange that it says nothing of the fact that it's a Diamond Edition. Not sure if this is final artwork or not (if it's real), but Nala, and Simba a little for that matter, look evil.

I wonder if we'll have the option of a 3D combo or standard combo (in addition to DVD), as we do with Tangled?

It's obviously not final, but the part that gets me is the sideways title. I didn't have any problem with it with Bambi because it was different, but I don't like it enough to see it on every Blu-Ray Diamond release.

Oi. That's a.... pretty messy cover. I sincerely hope they change it: everything about it looks wrong.

Did you guys notice the 3D symbol, was it known that it would be the first to be in 3D?

Maybe they'll have a different cover for 2D.

3D is bullshit anyway. Freaking Lion King in 3D?

Why not use the money and actually restore titles that need restoration instead of converting movies that weren't in 3D.

The one thing people seem to fail to understand is the fact that the early adopters will be ones who ARE NOT parents and definitely not kids so the huge influx of ONLY CGI and animated and kid movies for a format is not going to do anything for it. That said, crap conversions like Clash and Airbender aren't as well. 3D TV sucks and it should go into a hole and die, when they get rid of the glasses and the prominence of all those red/blue whatever it is then we'll talk. (I saw MVA on a 3DTV and everything was marred with these red/blue lines trying to create a 3D effect, it was terrible to say the least)

Now that that little rant is over, the cover for TLK is bad. Bambi used the vertical title first and now it just looks cheap. I also don't like that for both Bambi and this the title isn't actually vertical either just turned from the original horizontal format. The cover is also immensely crowded. Looks like Disney have learned nothing and continue to market to kids with big fat character faces plastered over every release like it's some sort of revolutionary seductive dealbreaker.

The 3D conversion even in 2D will be fantastic looking...I can't wait. The Nightmare before Christmas is still one of the best looking Blu Rays I have.

I think I'll get the 3D version just because I'm a sucker for "the best" versions of the film and I can have all three DVD Blu and 3D but realistically I'm not holding my breathe on getting a 3D TV

Im sure thats the final cover because they´re also releasing BATB on 3D and they are using the same cover that they used in the Diamond Edition. And I think that they´re not calling it Diamond Edition because that title applies only for the Bluray/DVD Combo packs.
