The Vampire Diaries

Post by PeterPanfan »

I was wondering if anyone was watching this? I got the first season for Christmas, and I also have the first two books that the series was based on. I've heard that despite a rough start, the series is basically amazing now and recalls some of Buffy's glory days on The WB.

So, discuss?

My favorite TV show in the whole world, to be honest!
Yeah, it starts off rough, but within 10 episodes... my goodness, it never lets down! I am so addicted to this show!

The books, though, are honestly atrocious. I tried reading them, and they were just plain horrible in comparison with the TV show.

Go on now, pop in your DVD and be addicted! :D

There are so many better shows on television than this one. It is aimed at the 12-19 age group so if you are that old then you are who they are aiming the show at!!!

As much as I dislike "Glee", I would watch it over "Vampire Diaries".

I watched it for most of the first season, but generally I would leave the show very empty. I thought the characters were very wooden, the acting was pretty silly at times, and the only thing that kept me coming back was the special effects that sometimes were pretty well done. But like "Smallville", I think they could have picked better actors, got better writers, and maybe quit trying to be like movies they tried copying.

I still would rather watch "Glee" than this show, but since I watch some other shows that are on at the same time, I know that I am not missing much.

I watch The Vampire Diaries. If you watch it for the very 1st time you going to think that it's just another vampire show. But actually you get hooked after the first 8 episodes. I like this show because it has a lot of suspends and the special effects is awesome. The Vampire Diaries and Nikita are my favorite shows from The CW. Hopefully the ratings stay the same or improve because these two shows are going to be competing against American Idol.

Smallville had its rough spots, but after seeing the whole series, I dont think they should've changed too many of the actors and it couldnt really be less like the movies.

Havent watched this show though.
