I've been in a Norma Jean mood so I've been listening to High Society and I Like Love.....I wish I'd been old enough to dance to them in the clubs!

Love The Way You Lie, Part II - Rihanna featuring Eminem

I hated Part I, sans the chorus, but I absolutely love Part II. It's one of my favorites from her next CD. And since Loud hasn't been released yet, I thank God for the inventor of YouTube and also the person who uploaded the song. It's fantastic.

First Playing: Goldfrapp - "Alive"

Can't stop listening to this song. There is no question this is the song of 2010 in my mind. For all my posts about how much this last decade has sucked, it's good to see pop music is actually as strong as it's ever been. Or, that throughout all the tweeny-bopper stuff (seriously- even New Kids on the Block and Bobby Brown songs were more catchy than this Jonas Brothers type stuff out now), there are still a lot of provocative tunes. Some really revolutionzing tone itself. Almost none of the major pop artists of the 90's were making truly somber songs or songs with shifting messages, moods, etc. Goldfrapp has single-handedly reinvented pop music! From rising out of the mold of trip-hop, to making their superior club songs international, to making some of the best damn hippie music I've ever heard, to doing the retro-thing like Gwen Stefani never went solo. The new millennium belongs to Goldfrapp and I hope they'll continue to rule 2010-2019 as well.

I'm currently discovering the Seventh Tree I missed at the same time as finally getting around to Head First. Because I've been poor most of this year (thanks to Disney), I decided to ignore the album. One more thing to fall in love with? Who needs the hassle. But thanks to YouTube-to-mp3 transfer services, I can hold screener copies for awhile.

Now Playing: Goldfrapp - "Clowns"

There is some new music out there that if you haven't heard, you should.

The Rascal Theorist and the album is called New Frequency. As the album says: "TRT, the next generation of the Soulsound, Groovalicious Party Music. Everybody get down!!!"

This is a really good album from the first track to the last and all four members of the group are very talented musicians and great vocalists. If you want something to just listen to, or to dance to, then this is for you. Remmber the name "The Rascal Theorist" is coming to a city near you.

Mötley Crüe - "Dr. Feelgood" - great music but TERRIBLE singing. I rarely complain about singers but he ruined the whole song.

Yer Favourites - The Tragically Hip

Canada's greatest export. I love Gordon Downie and the boys, they only put out an album every two years or so, but to see them in person is the capper of the year. Long Live The Tragically Hip!!!
