Has everyone at least sent out their gifts by now? Only nine days of mail left before Christmas Day!

Ceej received her gift from me ten days ago, so now I'm patiently awaiting mine from whoever my Secret Santa is.
Hmm, maybe I haven't received it because I haven't yet done my traditional 'Bills! Nothing but bills!" post.

That idea actually flopped after I pitched it last year. Last month, Want2beBelle wanted to see last year's send/receive thread and I posted the link to it. They saw in it that I had suggested us participants post pictures of what we get and posting my pics after I got my package. In the end, it was my pics and your pic of a Buzz Lightyear action figure. I don't know if I would have suggested again that we post pics if Want2beBelle hadn't. In any case, I would have posted my pics.Luke wrote:(and seeing the presents photographed! -- great idea, Want2beBelle!).

You're welcome! I was beginning to worry something happened with the package. Sorry I didn't include a card. I was so busy thinking of getting the items to you as soon as possible. I wanted to thank you for the youtube videos you pasted on your wish list. They were very enjoyable! Merry Christmas!Sky Syndrome wrote:Thank you very much, magicalwands. Yay! I received my Secret Santa's gift today! And even though the message doesn't exactly say who it was, Amazon certainly did so. Thank you so much for The Wrinkle in Time Quintet, DaveWadding! I will certainly start reading them as soon as possible!
 Thank you so much!!!

Once again, thanks a lot Dave!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
And to my Cindy Lou Who,
Parts 2 and 3 have shipped and should arrive soon
Part 1 on the other hand still hasn't, but Amazon is guaranteeing me that it will arrive by the 23rd (and I certainly hope it does).
Merry Christmas,
Your Secret Santa

Oh, don't worry about it. I almost didn't even see the billing name/address. But, I really really love the gift. Like I can't even tell you how happy I am. Madeleine L'Engle is my favorite author and I'm so glad I have the whole Time Quintet. Thanks, again!DaveWadding wrote:Stupid Amazon. I didn't figure they would print that on there. There's really a card in the mail for you somewhere.

Oh my gosh Julian !! I am SO super happy you got it ! I was so worried it had gotten lost or something, as we have had so much snow here, a lot of post has been delayed.
I'm glad you liked it as well ! This makes me almost as happy as receiving my gift !

The card was sent a week later than the gift, so goodness knows when that will arrive ...... !?

I had two finals today and a paper yesterday, so receiving surprises in the mail is always fun.
My first surprise (well, it wasn't a surprise, it was expected) was The Films of Rita Hayworth: Collector's Choice, which I'll be reviewing for UD. Given how long I've waited for this set to come out, I was uber-excited when it came in. Yay!
But my second surprise was a genuine surprise. Before I left for my second final today, I checked the mail and noticed I had a package. Lo and behold, inside was...well, I'll let Billy Mack explain...

Looking forward to the card, Atlantica.
If snow didn't melt I would have asked you to send me a snowball in the mail. I would have made my first contact with snow.

So far I've read about Disney's childhood, his efficiency, his time at the Film Ad company with Ub Iwerks, his founding of Laugh-o-grams, the bankruptcy of Laugh-o-grams, Margaret Winkler, the Disney Brothers studio, how Walt was a rather difficult boss, that he disturbed Friz Freleng, the defection of Walt's staff to Charles Mintz and the creation of Mickey Mouse.
It's a fascinating read.
