Old Disney Christmas live-action films? Are there any?

Post by filmmusic »

Hello.
I was wondering if there are any live-action Disney films about Christmas or with extended Christmas scenes...
Old ones up until 1980. (NOT afterwards)
Haven't seen or know any. I know Babes in Toyland is considered good for Christmas time, but i'ts not a Christmas movie..
Are ther any, like Mary poppins, Polyanna etc. but with a Christmas setting?

It's not a particularly extended scene, but Christmas is celebrated in Swiss Family Robinson.

There are Christmas related scenes in Walt's features:

Lady and the Tramp
One Hundred and One Dalmatians
Swiss Family Robinson
Babes in Toyland
The Happiest Millionaire (extended cut)
The Three Caballeros
Those Calloways

Shorts:

Mickey's Good Deed
The Night Before Christmas
Santa's Workshop
Pluto's Christmas Tree

TV Hours:

One Hour in Wonderland
The Walt Disney Christmas Show
From All of Us To All of You
Holiday Time at Disneyland
Disneyland Around the Seasons

Also, if memory serves in the 70's film:

Charley and the Angel

And - - general winter holiday scenes can be found in:

Bambi
Perri
Once Upon a Wintertime (Melody Time)
Donald's Snow Fight
On Ice
The Nutcracker Suite (Fantasia)
Rugged Bear
Corn Chips
Winter Storage
Fantasy on Skis
Snowball Express
The Mickey Mouse Club (various)
In Search of the Castaways
Winter (Silly Symphony)
Peter and the Wolf (Make Mine Music)
A Salute to Alaska
White Wilderness
Third Man on the Mountain
Hans Brinker, or the Silver Skates
The Art of Skiing
Hockey Homicide
People and Places: Switzerland
The Sword in the Stone
Backstage Party
Almost Angels (?)

(I'm sure there are more, but those come to mind - - and of course there is also "The Small One", "Mickey's Christmas Carol" and "One Magic Christmas" from the later days of Walt Disney Productions.)

You can add Those Calloways to that list.
