I love that flirty music that plays when Flynn does the smolder xD

i do think they made rapunzel to childlike in this clip. She almost looks like a toddler.
LOL XD. She is starring at him like the smolder actually is a bad thing though. And the music makes it sound 10x more awkward. :P

I'm seeing Harry Potter because my friend payed me to go. No really. She asked me to come with her but I told her I was seeing Tangled again. She offered to pay, when she heard that. Lucky me! (Even though I don't like Harry Potter...)

Entertainment Weekly's review is up, but read with a gallon of salt seeing as it was written by Lisa Schwarzbaum.....terrible. She gave Tangled a 'B', and I remember PATF getting a 'A'----and Tangled is by FAR the better film to me.
Fixed. :D

And, wow, people seem to find fault with every middle of the road or negative review(er). Not everyone has to love the movie, especially if it does turn out to be mediocre. You shouldn't have such high expectations.

Anyway, I unfortunately won't get to see this until Monday. :( I won't be near a theater 'til then, and I can't afford to drive out there just for that. Was going with some friends this weekend, but they rescheduled, so I'll probably end up seeing the movie twice. I saw Harry Potter this morning though (probably would've watched Tangled if it had been out today).

I, like many others on this forum have waited years for this movie to finally come out!

It's so surreal and exciting that this day is finally here!

Ahaha, I agree that not everyone has to love the film, but I also think it's unecessary to "fix" my post for me. I meant what I said & I stand by it....you're welcome to disagree with me. :)

Of course. I just wanted to keep the line drawn between opinion and fact. :)

Jackoleen

I may see the movie tomorrow, etc.

Dear Disney Enthusiasts,

I really hope that I'll be able to see the movie tomorrow, because tomorrow marks the opening day of Disney's 50th animated feature! I always like to slightly resemble the main character of the latest Disney movie when I go to that movie, so I'm going to wear purple to the theatre, and I'm going to part my hair on the right, so that it looks sort of like Rapunzel's hair.

I recently got Rihanna's latest c.d., and I think that the song "Only Girl in the World" should be paired with footage from "Tangled" in a YouTube music video!

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I just got home from my midnight showing of the film & I have to say that Tangled met all my expectations & then some!

So cute, adventurous & sincere. A must see, indeed. Disney doesn't need over the top characters, complicated stories or epic set pieces for a film to work. Being simple can sometimes be the best thing for Disney & this movie proved it. Title change aside, I absolutely loved this movie & will see it again soon.

I saw so many faces in the theater with their jaws dropped, reaching for the screen. I found myself smiling from ear to ear as "I See The Light" came alive in 3D. For the first time in quite a while, I felt the magic that is Disney inside of me & that, dear friends; is a success of it's own.

Just got back. Quick reply, maybe more later... I loved it! Everything everone has said it is. Basically, it's exactly the movie it SHOULD be.

Only one issue: did I completely black out for a minute, or is the first reprise of When Will My Life Begin NOT in the movie?????

You know, I didn't remember it either, although I know the part where it SHOULD be....seeing it again tomorrow, but I had to chime in since someone asked me about that reprise before and I was like ".....what reprise?"

Haha, how odd! Although since when I went I had no expectations about the music at all, I didn't sit there thinking anything was MISSING, per se....it -could- be there, and one could argue that it -should- be there, but I don't think the movie suffers because it isn't either. It's just strange to create it, put it on the soundtrack, then not leave it in the film. Ah well

Have returned from the midnight showing (at the lat minute one of our theatres added one so I was able to go)

I LOVED IT!!! I'm so glad I can say that. Of course, I have been known to love films before but after the excitement whore off my opinion became a little more focused and started noticing it's flaws. I seriously think the worst thing you can say about this film though, is it's not really meant for people who don't like or appreciate the Disney fairy tale formula, which I think makes it a stronger film. It's when you try to cater to EVERYONE that you end up pleasing fewer people. They found a great balance of the comedy/action with the fairy tale/romance.

And let me just say how beyond thrilled I am that there were no potty jokes. No references to flatulence...I want to cry, because it's been soooooo long since I have seen an animated film that didn't squeeze at least one bathroom joke in somewhere. Thank you Disney! You can make three animated features about farting now for al I care, but thank you for leaving us "Tangled" to cherish.

I also noticed right off the bat that WWMLB reprise 1 was not in the film, and actually agree with them leaving it out. It's so short and they got the point across fine without it...plus, perhaps it will be a little bonus on the dvd/blu-ray. Something to look forward to.

As for the 3D...stunning. It makes me want to start saving up for a 3D HD tv and 3D blu-ray player now, so I can experience this every time I watch the movie in the future.

I havnt heard anything about the 3D in this movie, was it good? and by good I mean comparable to how Pixar does it, not Dreamworks or even Blue Sky. Just how in your face is it? I dont want the 3d too close to me. Meet the Robinsons seemed like a middle ground, it wasn't as bad as those other two examples, but not as subtle as Pixar's either. Was it like that?

For myself, the 3D was great because it never seemed pointless toward the plot. You kind of forget about it a lot actually and just get caught up in the story, every now and then noticing the detail of the forest or the tower. I would say it was easily on par with Toy Story 3 in terms of 3D effects. Maybe even a little better, just because how lush the artwork is.
