They don't bore me in the least. I get a sad nostalgic feeling whe I watch them, especially my childhood favorites such as "Mickey's garden" "Pluto's Christmas tree" "Christmas Carol" .......

boring? sad you feel that way, i have almost 100 dvds and nothing else touches the tresures in terms of greatness.

Or maybe you simply don't appreciate this kind of material. Not a problem, since you'll be able to sell them off in no time.

I love the Disney Treasure DVDs! They provide good entertainment to people with short attention spans (that would be me on some days

) and add the nostalgic factor to it, it just makes it really cool to me! I just watched the Donald cartoon "Autograph Hounds" and it was really interesting to see who was famous back in the day to be caricatured in the short. I know who most of the people in the short are, but it was interesting to think that these were the big celebrities in the 1930's.

Its a look into what life was like in the past what issues were at the forefront etc, and its really interesting to me

No they aren't boring at all. It's some of the best things I've seen. However I have fallen asleep while watching them. But I sometimes watch them before I go to bed or if I can't sleep I may turn the tv on at 1 or 2 in the morning, but I fall asleep if I watch anything that late. But during the day no way no how

I've only fallen asleep while watching something Disney when I was sleepy in the first place. But I did fall asleep during MMLCV1 because I tried to watch them all at once, late at night.

I don't know why they both you. Which ones were you watching ? This thread doesn't make any sense.

The only thing I don't like about the Treasures is something in the presentation. I just don't like the tin boxes. And sometimes when I'm clicking around, I really don't need to see Leonard Maltin's little bearded bespectacled face introducing every little thing. Really. His voice gets on my nerves after a while. I'd rather have this material without the tins and without Leonard.

I'll add my name - the only time I was bored was when I watched too many of the Goofy sports cartoons in a row. They arent boring by themselves, but together they start to get a little old. Aside from that, I have not been bored in the least yet.

i'll admit that the weather episode about monitoring hurricane patterns on the tomorrowland set was pretty damn boring. i think slept through most of that.

Regarding sleeping...

I went to see Van Helsing last weekend and I fell asleep shortly after the heroes passed through the gateway to Dracula's hidden castle.

I also fell asleep watching Star Wars Episode at the theater.

I do not think either sleeping incident indicates that the material was necessarily boring.

I've only seen about half of the material from On the Front Lines, and although some are a little dull, I just keep in mind that this was entertainment during the 1940's.

Put them all into historical context, and they're not boring at all.

The only way the Treasuers could bore a Disney fan is if they tried to watch every short in one sitting. They weren't meant to be watched like that and you DO need to take a break. I found some of the Wartime shorts a bit tedious, I already mentioned the Flush Riveting short on another thread, but they weren't made for couch-side entertainment.

You can't get rid of Maltin, he's the one behind these sets! I like his comments here and there. He's so enthusiastic about the subjects and informative. They should maybe make them easier to skip for multple viewings though. Sometimes he seems to give too much away about a short as well, so its good to skip his intros if you are watching a short for the first time.

I wish I could get rid of his "warning" messages. IMO they should not be there. But I like the ones where he gives a background on things.
