Dear Secret Santa. Thanks for putting me on the 'nice' list this year!
It's been a hard year, well, let's say, a challenging year, because while for the most part it has been downright difficult, I do believe I will come out of all of it better off. As Princess Tiana said 'I'm almost there' and Cinderella was right 'No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing the dream that you wish WILL come true' I'm hoping for a wonderful 2011. But for now, I am going to enjoy and celebrate the rest of the year.

A little bit about me...
Hometown: Seattle, USA
Media formats: DVD R1 and blu
Age: 24

I'm a girly girl, and a kid at heart. I love anything pink, cute or sparkly. I collect all things Disney. From housewares, Stationary (heck, even disney coloring books, haha) Toys/figures/plush, Disney Pins, Mugs are a good bet too, I drink a lot of tea. Anything Disney I will love.

I Also love the Muppets (DVD wise I've only got the 1st season..) , Sanrio, and all things 80s. Music and Singing, nostalgia, and Disney are some of my biggest interests. I'm easily pleased, so no worries, I'll love anything :) Here are a few specifics, but you should also know I love surprises too, so either way I'll be delighted!

I would absolutely love any Tangled (only thing I have so far is a Rapunzel doll), BatB, Ariel, Tink, disney princess or Minnie merchandise.
Oh, and if you happen to be someone who frequents the parks, or just happens to be going to one during this time.. I'd treasure anything from there, its been a long long time since I've been. Its a goal of mine to get back there soon. I also believe the disney store site has a section of park merchandise too.

If you and your magic Reindeer happen to be in a foreign country, something specific, unique or random from there would be cool! (no need, but a plus if its disney related!) I've always loved getting things from other countries and even stuff in different languages, even if I can't understand them, lol.
If you'd still like to know me a bit better, aside from this, and of course my posts here on the board, feel free to come check out both my blog and flickr pages :)

Strangely, I've never done that during any of the past Secret Santas. Awesome idea.

And to keep my tradition of every Wish List post being a letter to Secret Santa:

Dear Secret Santa,

I just watched Love Actually. Also had some sweet potatoes with dinner instead of mashed potatoes. How are you doing?

Hello, Secret Santa participants! If your name contains any of the following letters: A E I O U, you should have received your assignment e-mail. If that is not the case (and it might take a few minutes getting through all those net tubes), then send me an e-mail. Check your Spam folder too. Everyone knows that UD's Santa Claus is notorious for the spams he sends out every November in response to those who e-mail him to sign up.

If anything looks unusual in your assignment e-mail, let me know right away. While I know "unusual" is in the eye of the beholder, if a forum name seems to clash with a real name or a member location with the address, I've probably messed up. It hasn't happened in the past seven years of doing this, but I'm always afraid it might and sending these out after midnight as part of my Fall of Non-Stop Work and Very Little Sleep doesn't fill me with great confidence in my copy/paste and look-over skills. Thanks!

Now comes the fun part... :santa:

Dear Secret Santa,

How have you been? Did you have a nice summer? How is your wife?

I'm very excited about Christmas this year and am looking forward to it even more so than usual. I think it's because I've been planning Christmas programs for church since August, but I just can't wait to throw up the decorations, begin the Advent readings, and bust out the Christmas music.

I recently finally converted to Blu-ray and am beginning the process of upgrading my Pixar collection (the only movies I just have to re-buy in Blu). So far, I have the Toy Story trilogy. I'd also love Enchanted on Blu-ray because I've had my eye on some of those nifty bonus features since it was released.

A huge wish would be to somehow have a copy of A Muppet Family Christmas.

But mostly, I'm all about surprises. I love Pixar (Buzz Lightyear, Wall-e, and The Incredibles are my favorites). I love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Superman and other DC comics, The Simpsons, 30 Rock, Buffy, and The Chronicles of Narnia. I love Doctor Who and have nothing related to that fandom (though I'm really hoping for a Tardis cookie jar and have been looking everywhere for a Tardis Christmas ornament). For some reason, I just strongly associate Muppets with Christmas and so Muppet-y Christmas decorations and such are always appreciated. Oh, and for the last two Christmases, I've tried to get my hands on the Hallmark Wall-e Keepsake Ornament.

I've also read The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and its Companion and have been trying to get into more Uncle Scrooge comics.

If you're in another country (especially the UK since I'm a bit of an Anglophile), I'd love to get something I couldn't get here in Georgia.

I wear an XL shirt if that helps (I'm very glad that that's a smaller size than last year. I had a good year).

Merry Christmas,
Brandon

Dear Secret Santa,

I'm not asking much... Just a token, really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it. What I want from you is... this:

DVDs (all Region 2)
The Thief of Bagdad

Pride & Prejudice (1995)

The Secret of the Sword

The Last Unicorn

(Wow, I'm really stuck in the past, I guess...)

All joking aside, I couldn't care less what you get me... Like most people, I'm in this for the friendship-building and fun more than anything else. You are not obliged to follow my wish list at all - something you choose on your own would ultimately mean much more to me than something I can buy myself, especially since it would be coming from a fellow UDer. If you choose to do that, anything with a Disney/Harry Potter/DC/Marvel name on it would do (excluding books/DVDs/Blu-rays).

Oh, and since I'm from Europe, I recommend you shop from amazon.co.uk so you wouldn't have to worry about paying extra for shipping from North America to Europe (that is, if you're even from North America :)). An online converter site tells me that current USD/GBP currency ratio is cca $20 = £12, so please be wary of that too...

So that's that from me... Thank you in advance for the time, thoughts, kindness and effort you'll put into getting me a great holiday gift. Take care!

Whoa! Lots of creativity with the letters here! Mine is gonna seem dry!

Dear Secret Santa,

I'm sorry if my letter is short but I had to write on the last bit of toilet paper left in my house. And it was a very small bit of toilet paper.

Gaaaaah! This is terrible! TOILET PAPER! OF ALL THINGS? I couldn't come up with something better!?

Well, anyway ... :P

There are many things you could get me. If DVDs are your thing then the following will make me happy:

The Studio Ghibli films (preferably Region 2) - I know I want to collect these eventually. So maybe you could get me started. :)

1. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
2. Castle in the Sky
3. Grave of the Fireflies
4. My Neighbour Totoro
5. Kiki's Delivery Service
6. Only Yesterday
7. Porco Rosso
8. Ocean Waves
9. Pom Poko
10. Whisper of the Heart
11. Princess Mononoke
13. My Neighbours the Yamadas
14. Spirited Away
15. The Cat Returns
16. Howl's Moving Castle
17. Tales from Earthsea

Classic Cartoons (preferably Region 1 ... because that's where they're available!)

1. Looney Tunes Super Stars - Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl
2. Looney Tunes Super Stars - Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire
3. Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 5
4. Tom and Jerry - The Spotlight Collection

Tex Avery (this is a very special set from France which I would love)

http://www.amazon.fr/Tex-Avery-Coffret- ... 360&sr=8-1

Documentaries

1. The Boys: The Sherman Brothers Story
2. Walt and El Grupo
3. Waking Sleeping Beauty

Books (I'd kill for these, especially the WDAS books)

1. The Animated Man - A Life of Walt Disney (Michael Barrier)
2. Hollywood Cartoons - American Animation in its Golden Age (Michael Barrier)
3. Animation (Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Archive Series)
4. Story (Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Archive Series)
5. Design (Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Archive Series)

Dear Secret Sandy Claws,

I hope all is well wherever you are. As I've been a good boy for the most part this year, I feel obliged to take a shot at being demanding! First, I shall note that I can watch either Region 1 or Region 2 DVDs, though Blu-Rays will have to be out of the question for now; I plan on getting a Blu-Ray player soon, yet my constant studying, travelling and whatnot has prevented me from doing so. :p Anyway, here are some things that I wouldn't mind, but am not asking friends and family to buy (and presume they otherwise wouldn't buy).
And for a few more ideas, here's my Amazon UK wish list, probably the most cluttered Wish List you'll ever find! :p
http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishli ... rd&x=8&y=7
If anything, that list will generally give you a few more ideas as to what my interests are, and it also features a few Disney books that I wouldn't mind.

Also, Secret Sandy Claws, please try and get my delivery to fall between the 18th and the 31st of December! I'll otherwise be out of town, so it could end up getting lost, sent back or whatnot! As you're most likely in Canada or the US (well, basically anywhere outside of the UK), it shouldn't be much of an issue anyway.

Lots of love from your Cindy Lou Who,
Joe/Wonderlicious

Dear Secret Santa,

I'm thrilled to be writing you! This is my seventh consecutive year taking part in the UD/DVDizzy Secret Santa and every year is just as much fun as the last. The annual tradition has taken its place among my many other seasonal traditions as something I greatly look forward to at this time of year. Thank you so much for wanting to be a part of it too!

Even though I'm still pretty high on the total post count list here on the forum, it's quite possible that you might not be too familiar with me, particularly if you're a relative newcomer here. I'm still very involved with this website, but as my schedule has become increasingly busy, I've regrettably had less time to post on the message board. There was a time long ago when I posted every day!

Anyways, in case you and I haven't had the chance to get acquainted, here are a few random bits about me: my name is Aaron, I'm 25 years old, not a fan of chocolate, a hardcore Starbucks addict, a lawyer, a frequent Walt Disney World vacationer, and a huge Christmas enthusiast. I'm very passionate about Disney and other entertainment media (particularly movies, music, and television), and I spend a great deal of my time thinking, talking, and writing about those things.

As far as a wishlist goes, I'm very happy to receive anything at all. I had a harder time making a list this year than in previous ones, but I ended up pulling out old lists and finding a number of things I've wanted for a while and never got around to. These are really just some suggestions to help you out!

Blu-ray
• Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
• Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
• Santa Claus: The Movie
• A Christmas Carol (1984 version featuring George C. Scott)
• The Year Without a Santa Claus
• Galaxy Quest
• The Passion of the Christ
• Chicken Little
• Ponyo
• Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue
• Earth

DVDs
• Walt Disney Treasures: Dr. Syn, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh (Just in case anyone happens to have a spare copy of this. It's the only WDT that I don't have, but it's long out of print)
• The Great Locomotive Chase
• Toby Tyler, or Ten Weeks With a Circus
• Greyfriars Bobby
• Babes in Toyland
• In Search of the Castaways
• The Misadventures of Merlin Jones
• The Ugly Dachshund
• Monkeys, Go Home!
• The Gnome-Mobile
• The Island at the Top of the World
• Tex
• The Devil and Max Devlin
• Dragonslayer
• The Last Flight of Noah's Ark

Disney Movie Club DVDs*
So Dear to My Heart
DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp
Have Yourself A Goofy Little Christmas
The Monkey's Uncle
Kim Possible: The Complete First Season
Kim Possible: The Complete Second Season

*Yes, I lifted this from JiminyCrick91's list -- thanks, Skyler!

CDs
Stone Temple Pilots – Thank You (Special Edition CD + DVD)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1: Soundtrack

...I've bought so many CDs this year that I struggle to think of more that I want off-hand. I love all kinds of music and have what I consider a pretty eclectic taste, with pop-rock and other variations of rock probably being my favorite general genres. I'm always up for discovering new music, though, and that goes for soundtracks too. I've participated in all of the year-end "What CDs Did You Buy This Year?" threads we've had here, so you can get a better musical sense of me there if you'd like.

Miscellaneous
Disney Parks Vinylmation - any mystery box or an open-face box from either a park or The Disney Store would be great! (Preferred series: Cast Exclusive, Toy Story, Park 1-5, Holiday 1-2, The Muppets, Disneyland, The Nightmare Before Christmas)

Well that's all I can think of now, after really racking my brain to come up with that many. I'd love any of the things listed above but don't think of it as exclusive either. I hope this is some help!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! :santa:
