WD Treasures .... in Tins

Post by deadstone »

A lot of these sets are available on Ebay, and some of them aren't going for mad prices either...for example, around $25 - $35 for a mint, factory sealed 'Silly Symphonies' or 'Behind the Scenes at WD' or 'Davy Crocket' (in TINS no less!) is not too outrageous...

I've bought WD Treasures (factory sealed, in tins) from Ebay before and had no problems so long as the seller had at least 97% rating from at least 25 buyers, and was in the US...
I NEVER would buy from anyone in Asia, and I'd only buy if it's factory sealed, in the tin - that virtually guarantees that it's not a fake or copy!

and many of them have a Buy It Now option...which means you can pay the sellers minmum (say $30) and have it it's way in a day or two...

It all depends on if you can (or want to for that matter) pay between $20 - $35 for each one... and of course you need a credit/debit card that you can use with PayPal, or Western Union Auction Payments.

My main problem of course is that I live outside the US, so cannot buy from some sellers...but also I cannot send Money Orders and so on, which complicates things!

Good luck completing your collection...

Can't wait for my Wave 3 Amazon orders .... 8)

great review of On the Front Lines btw Luke :thumb:

I have just purcahsed my first tins ... started with OTFL (pre-ordered from Amazon last fall), then got the Mickey Mouse Vol. II and Donald Ducks sets at Best Buy.

(Edited 05/23/04 - specifc EBay seller mentioned here now seems OK, no reason to leave in paragraph questioning him.)

Also - some of these are being sold without a tin, and claim that Disney manufactured some of the Treasures sets without one. Is this true? (edit - now I see these tin-less Treasures are probably the Costco / Disney online 7-pack of Treasures, broken up for resale. Can't justify $120 - $150 for 7 Treasures when I only really want one, so I hope Disney sells the individual Treasures sometime soon.)
