Along with Back to the Future Trilogy and Star Wars: Clone Wars Season Two on Blu-ray Tuesday, I noticed that Ultimate Electronics is advertising Alien Anthology on Blu-ray being available Tuesday for $79.99. If that is so, it is so mine. Those of us who own the "Alien Quadrilogy" on SD have this nine-disc monster on our shelve and will be happy to know that all of what is on the SD is on the Blu-ray plus more.

My wallet is going to feel very empty afterwards.

Picked up Alien Anthology on Blu-ray and am very happy that I didn't wimp out and just keep my "Alien Quadrilogy" set. I can't believe the quality of the Blu-ray picture on "Alien" and "Aliens". It is sharp and crystal clear and you can see the hair floating in the water in "Aliens" that you can't see on the SD version. Also they have added to the Special Features and have finally showed what Blu-ray can do when challenged just a bit. All 54 hours of Bonus Features on the "Quadrilogy" plus another few more hours of updated stuff, including Commentary from Sigourney Weaver on "Alien", which is really interesting.

If you have been wondering whether or not to purchase this set, if you have the bucks, get it now, because it has a three-figure price after Saturday at Best Buy.

You could have saved money if you got it at Target. "Clone Wars Season Two " is only $32.99.
