Because I moderate the chat box for The W.E.D.nesday Show with Brent Dodge and can't post the awards at the same time. You're welcome to join us tonight, it's all about Tower of Terror!

Don't worry, we'll continue with the awards Thursday afternoon and conclude on Friday night!

Hey, guys. Sorry I'm accepting my award so late. Last night was the WEDnesday Show and the day before that, I was working on a review (after watching the Rocky Horror Glee Show, of course). I'm really happy to have won for Glee. I know a lot of us on the site are Gleeks, so I wanted to do you all proud as I could feel all eyes on me.

Since I can't physically show my gratitude to you guys, I'll let this gleeful kid do it:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DnYjleErywk?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DnYjleErywk?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Thanks a bunch, and congrats to all of the winners so far!

Oh, you guys. Thank you so much! This really is an honour, I tell you all. :D And congratulations to Netty too. :)

By the way, if I may ask, if this is my second, when did I win my first Golden Mickey award? I'd always assumed that I'd only ever been nominated, never a winner (until now, that is).

You won Third Place in the "Forum Member You'd Most Like to Spend A Day With in a Disney Theme Park" and the Second Place and Third Place positions for Special Awards count as Golden Mickeys. At least, I counted them. ;) Otherwise, what would be the point of announcing Second and Third Place?

And Wonderlicious, don't leave that stage just yet! You still need to inform us on who is the Most Informative Member of the Year!

WONDY: The Internet can be a disorientating place, a type of labyrinth where each sign points one way whilst another one points the other way. And Disney is perhaps the most disorientating company in the world. But luckily, help is at hand, thanks to these forum members...

They have been nominated tonight for being the most informative members of this community. Everybody raise a cheer for them.

(The crowd applauds, but stops. There is a huge crash from backstage. On storms none other...than Fangirl).

FANGIRL: WELL!

WONDY: FANGIRL?!

FANGIRL: Omg, how cud u wondy? :(  :( :tlm: :herc:

WONDY: What have I done wrong?

FANGIRL: why were i nt nomineeted? :( :x  :x :!:

WONDY: It wasn't my decision, but I think I know why. All you ever do is write in bad English, provide somewhat objectionable opinions on Disney animation and rant about how cool Twilight and the Disney Channel are!

FANGIRL: NOOOOO! :x twilight is cool and ppl wanna hear abowt it! :( :tink: :D

WONDY: Yes, I'm sure they do, but not when all that you discuss is how Edward Cullen looks hot, and it's so easy to get lost in a sea of smilies.

FANGIRL: Leeve my smilys alone! :) :mickey: :minnie: :nemo: :excellent: :( :o :shifty: :headshake: :D   Now, give me that trophie!

WONDY: No selfish brat!

(Fangirl tries to pull the Golden Mickey away from Wondy's hands. Wondy, in his struggle, whistles to offstage. A tranquilliser dart is shot, and Fangirl falls to the ground)

WONDY: Phew, sorry about that. Anything to say, Fangirl?

FANGIRL: :shifty: rotfl  sorry dfvdfvxdsdfv;jn twilight is so funkdfjnv;nj

(Fangirl is now asleep and is dragged off stage)

WONDY: Righty ho, once more, here's a reminder of the nominees:

Congratulations, blackcauldron85! We'll now be taking an extended intermission tonight (I've got an evening class) and the awards will continue after 9 pm EST, with the DVDizzy.com Review of the Year!

In the meantime, the Youtube Performers will be performing, the milk buds will be budding, and the Beauty and the Beast colors will be ever-changing. Stick around!

Congratulations to Amy and to Netty & Wonderlicious, my opponents in one of the categories.

Luckily, Goliath is here to fill the void of the extended intermission! He's got a very special comedy routine prepared for all of you tonight and he's very excited about it.

He prepares himself backstage, he's getting more nervous by the minute. The idea to perform for that many loyal UD-members, and to have to follow Wonderlicious, which is very tough... But he pulls himself together, practices his opening joke one more time, then walks onto the stage, looks around and...

... he sees that everybody has left the room, using the intermission to use the bathroom, smoke their cigarettes or simply to get more milkbuds. So far for Goliath's comedy routine.

And now, we welcome Joe Bob, a "fictional example" character, as he presents the DVDizzy Review of the Year!

<hr>

<center>DVDizzy Review of the Year</center>

Image:
Hi folks! I'm Joe Bob (but my avatar is Pudsey!), the fictional person that Escapay uses whenever he needs a name for a fictional person. Actually, Escapay often uses the name Jake (for guys) and Maggie (for girls) when he needs a name in a pinch, but on the forums, there already is a Jake Lipson. And since there are no Joe Bobs as far as we know, he uses my name. I'm honored that he does this, because life isn't easy for a fictional character. You're defined by how you're created, and sometimes you get tomes written all about you, or you're just a quick passing reference. As a result, people have to speculate and assume what you're really like, which can be misleading at times. I mean, Escapay always says that I'd call up Kirk Wise and tell him to matte Beauty and the Beast to 2.35:1, when that's simply not true. I prefer it at 2.00:1 like Vittorio Storaro does for Apocalypse Now. ;)

Anyway, enough about me. This award is for the DVDizzy.com Review of the Year. Although not as talked about as the UD reviews, they're still quite relevant and provide that same top-notch UD quality. The DVDizzy.com Reviews also cover a much wider range than Disney, as we can get some really nice movies like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs or some really messed-up stuff like The Crazies, along with some prestigious titles like An Education and light fun dramedies like Julie & Julia. Those four are actually nominees, but here's the full list...

Avatar (Blu-Ray + DVD) by Kelvin Cedeno
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs: Supersized Edition (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
The Crazies (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
An Education (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
Fantastic Mr. Fox (Blu-Ray + DVD) by Luke Bonanno & Kelvin Cedeno
Julie & Julia (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
Kick-Ass (Blu-Ray + DVD) by Luke Bonanno & Kelvin Cedeno
Night Train to Munich: Criterion Collection (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
A Single Man (DVD) by Luke Bonanno
Where the Wild Things Are (DVD) by Luke Bonanno

And the Golden Mickey goes to...

<center>Fantastic Mr. Fox

Luke Bonanno & Kelvin Cedeno

This is Luke's 36th Golden Mickey Award. He has 27 nominations this year.
This is Kelvin's 4th Golden Mickey Award. He has 15 nominations this year.

Wouldn't it be loverly if we had another award presented? The hills are alive with the sound of...UmbrellaFish! He's here to tell us who is the New Member of the Year!

<hr>

<center>New Member of the Year</center>

Image:
Don’t we all just love the UD boards? I know I do, and I always have. But the discussion of Disney DVD’s and theme parks and characters wouldn’t be the same with the wonderful array of members we have here. They’re the reason I, and so many others, keep coming back.

The New Member of the Year Award has always been a personal favorite of mine because it’s proof that those nominated aren’t “newbies” anymore and they’ve made a significant contribution to the site and its blend of people. It’s my sincere hope that every “newbie” nominated for the award continues to rough it out amongst our wild gang of members, but of course, I’m sure they will. Here are the nominees for New Member of the Year...

Duckburger
Heartless
jpanimagion
Kraken Guard
robster16
SWillie!

And the New Member of the Year is...

Congratulations, jpanimation! We've got a Special Award coming up in an hour, and tomorrow we'll be handing out the final awards, which include the new Legacy Award designed by enigmawing. Stay tuned!

And now, please welcome UmbrellaFish and DameJulieAndrews as they present our final Special Award, Tangled Enthusiast of the Year!

<hr>

<center>Tangled Enthusiast of the Year</center>

Image:
(instrumental music to the tune of A Spoonful of Sugar plays. UmbrellaFish steps out to the podium with Julie Andrews, arm in arm. Everyone applauds.)

JULIE ANDREWS: Hellooo, Disney people!

UMBRELLAFISH: I’m standing next to Julie Andrews… Oh. My. God.

JULIE ANDREWS: UmbrellaFish and I are here tonight to present an incredibly auspicious award to the Ultimate Disney Forum member who has shown the most enthusiasm towards the release of Walt Disney Picture’s fiftieth feature, Tangled.

UMBRELLAFISH: Yeah, that, that’s right.

JULIE ANDREWS: The troubled production history of Tangled goes back to a time when it was called Rapunzel: Unbraided and was then to feature a DreamWorksian take…

(the whole audience groans)

Ahem… Which I’m sure would have been very good, as well, coming from personal experience, starring in three of their movies.

UMBRELLAFISH: I like DreamWorks movies, Mary- I mean, Ms. Andrews!

JULIE ANDREWS: That’s nice. As I was saying, the movie about the flaxen-haired princess went through many evolutions on its way to becoming a new film ready for theatres, losing actors, directors, and most shockingly, it’s own title earlier this year when the film was renamed as Tangled.

UMBRELLAFISH: Long hair is overrated, my queen.

JULIE ANDREWS: Yes, yes. Could you just please stand a couple feet away from me? (UmbrellaFish moves and Julie continues) Thank you. Tangled promises to be a wonderful film in the spirit of former Disney classics Mary Poppins, The Princess Diaries, and Despicable Me.

UMBRELLAFISH: Julie, far be it from me to correct you, as only but a humble servant who is completely and utterly unworthy to even be seen within your great, wonderful, magnanimous presence, but… Despicable Me wasn’t Disney…

JULIE ANDREWS: It wasn’t??? I had no clue! Well, regardless, Tangled looks like an okay movie, but it would be nothing without its supporters who have followed the film through it’s troubled production to see it come all this way. The winner of this special award hasn’t allowed themselves to become dismayed by negative press about the project and has also informed other Ultimate Disney members about the film throughout production, which undoubtedly we all are thankful for. Yet, one could simply hurrah their accomplishments and… and… and damn the teleprompter went off!

(the whole audience gasps at hearing Mary Poppins swear)

UMBRELLAFISH: What!?

JULIE ANDREWS: I only did this gig to promote The Sound of Music Blu-Rays to a bunch of creep-o’s, and now I’ll end up looking like an absolute idiot with this video ending up all over The Youtube. Well, then, I’m out of here!

(Dame Julie Andrews storms off the stage, leaving UmbrellaFish alone)

UMBRELLAFISH: Well… Um…. Yeah… This is kind of embarrassing… So, um, the Tangled Enthusiast of the Year award goes to…

<center>...Third Place goes to...

Polizzi

...Second Place goes to...

robster16

<hr>

Congratulations, sotiris! And UmbrellaFish, thanks for getting Dame Julie to make a very rare internet appearance, even if she had ulterior motives! I'll have to corner her at the after party and chat Sound of Music with her!

That it for tonight's awards, folks! Be sure to join us tomorrow as we introduce the Legacy Award, hand out our final awards, and have some poisoned dragon's liver!

"You mean they poison the dragon, or just the liver?" little Paul Rawlins asks.

Tune in tomorrow night to find out!
