speculation as to the recent pull of august releases

Post by disneyfella »

i was just thinking that Disney may be holding off the three mentioned titles on the front page to release with the island at the top of the world 30th anniversary edition, and have 4 more one disc special editions a la escape to witch mountain.

any thoughts on this, or any other speculationsas to why they've been removed from ordering?

Whatever the reason, when a company promises something to its customers (by announcing a release date), it owes its customers an explanation when it does not fulfill its promise.

But then, we did not get an explanation the first time, either - when the Disney Company confirmed DR. SYN as part of the 2002 "Walt Disney Treasures," and then pulled the title.

Not good.

Dr. Syn is

Set in 18th-century England, the story follows the double life of the fearless Dr. Syn. By day, Dr. Syn (Patrick McGoohan) appears to be the mild-mannered vicar of Dymchurch. But by night, disguised as a grotesque and terrifying "scarecrow," this phantom rider roams the English seacoast using a band of "smugglers" to intercept government supplies in an attempt to break King George III's import tax.

Hey, MMP, you'd get fresher news reading the front page. DavisDVD is just regurgitating our old news.

Merging with week-old thread.
