Who's going to watch the Series Finale of Angel?

Post by MickeyMousePal »

I will tape it and watch it later due to my finals this week.
I really like this Buffy, the Vampire Slayer spin-off.
But I'm sad to see it go. It only lasted 5 years on the WB like Buffy did.
I really hope UPN picks up Angel because I really enjoy watching this show.
Even the DVD's of Angel are great to buy!!!
I really hope Angel has a spin-off of Spike, in my opinion it won't happen.

I usually watch the synication of Angel on TNT.
I feel happy for those who sign the petition for Angel to last another year, but it didn't work.

Never seen a single episode, so no need to start now. I vote no.

The same thing goes for me.
I have not ever seen even a minute of Angel.
I do not know what it is about.
I will not watch the Angel series finale.
I did watch the Friends finale.
It comes on again this week, Thursday.
Don't miss out.
The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain.
I voted no.

Why is it that the friends finale was on DVD 72 hours later? Talk about beating a dead horse.

I've said this over and over, the final episode will NOT be on season 10! If you want it you need to buy it now.

Back on topic: Show sucks. Not watching.

Surely this just a gimmick by NBC/WB and they'll end up changing their minds! It's not so much that I mind having to buy it (I do a tad, but it's worth it), but I want my "Complete 10th Season" to be COMPLETE. What bs!

There is no way that they will not release the series finale on the tenth season set, what are they gonna say "The Complete Tenth Season Except for the Finale", or "The Incomplete Tenth Season." Talk about inconsistency. Besides a SERIES FINALE would be a selling point in itself.

Oh and of course I will be watching my Angel's series finale, i mean, look at my sig and my name. nuff said

I loved this show and watched the final episode tonight.

It was good... except for the fact that they DIDN'T END IT! They left it open and they better make a movie to end it. I am really sick of this sort of thing. I'm not really interested in getting into any moer tv shows, they seem to cancel them and not end them, or worse, you might get an ending like Quantum Leap had. Blech!

I think the ending was fine, even though it was open ended, BUT maybe had they continued the episode ,everyone would have died, and I really don't need more heartache especially after Fred, Cordelia, and Wesley all died in a span of 10 episodes. BTW that reunion between Fred and Wesley made me bawl like a little girl, I dont know what came over me, I guess since I was really sad the series was ending or the fact, about said deaths affected me all at once.

I am a man's man and when that "Wes" business went down I was bawling like an MF! I hope they show what happens after. Oh man that was deep!

I thought it was good. The moral of the story was summed up rather nicely by James Marsters aka Spike : "Being a hero doesn't mean you succeed in saving the day. It just means you tried."

However, they definitely left it somewhat open ended, but I am glad.

Unless someone comes to their rescue, I would say that the four heroes are doomed. If they ended it with everyone dying then there would be no hope for a movie and no hope of the series being picked up by anyone unless they did something lame like claim that the series finale was someone's dream.

If they ended it with them getting away alive and well then it would not be much of a finale. You can not have them wipe out the circle and then simply walk away without suffering the wrath of Wolfram and Hart.

So I am happy with the finale. If anything else is done with these characters, the best thing might be a movie rather than a new series. Buffy really went downhill after season 3; there were some good parts to be sure, but overall it really went downhill.

What I think I would kind of like to see happen next would be a theatrical release movie that picks up right where the series finale stops: Angel, Spike, Gun, and Illyria preparing to face the demon hordes in the alley. I am undecided about what would be the best way to escape. Perhaps Buffy shows up with a squad of slayers. Or maybe Agent Riley Finn arrives in a military helicopter to airlift them away. Willow could provide magical cover to temporarily prevent the enemy from following the team as they retreat. Either way, it could result in an exciting opening battle sequence for a movie. Earlier in the last season references had been made about Buffy, Willow, and Giles preparing for the apocalypse while Angel's group was either on the sidelines or on the wrong side. Obviously killing the circle members should put them back on the same side, so now it time for Angel's group to be briefed on what has been going on in the world outside of Wolfram and Hart. Buffy's alleged relationship with The Immortal would of course have to be addressed. Maybe Spike could fulfill the prophecy and become human for a happily ever after with Buffy. After all, Angel has his wolf woman and he signed away his chance to fulfill the prophecy. There are a lot of possibilities.

BTW, the Quantum Leap ending really sucked. I would hate for Angel to have ended like that. It has to be one of the worst series finales ever.

Well, David said that the only way he would want to revisist the ANGEL character would be in a theatrically released movie, and we all know what a B***H Sarah Michelle Geller has been about the whole not wanting to ever play Buffy again, but maybe if a theatrical movie were planned, she could get off her high horse, and release that Buffy is what made her, and at the end of the day, it is really what she is going to be remeberes for... (end of rant)... anyway, I would like to see, if it ever gets concluded, Willow and the rest of the Slayer squad come to assist Angel and co, and I like to see the Slayer thing resolved...
Does it seem odd to anyone else, that despite the fact that there is only suppose to ONE Slayer activated at a time, the fact that there are now hundreds, maybe thousands, that there were NO mystical reprocutions? This simply boggles my mind, I think all but maybe 5 should be deactivated, and the 5 could spread out around the world and each have a designated content...

OK, now about the episode...

I had the feeling that Wesley would be the one to die and this sadened me cause he was one of my favorite characters on the show...

I thought his death scene was so sad, and am not afraid to admit that I too teared up a bit and he died in"Fred"'s arms, I kind of like to think they are together now, but I guess that's impossible with Fred's soul being destroyed...

I would not have at all been sad if Gunn had died, but it seems he was 10 minutes from that at the very end.

I was glad to see Conor one last time, and while a majority of fans have no interest in a Conor spin-off but rather a Spike one, I have to say that a Connor one would make the most sense, and to be truthful I have no interest in seeing another Vampire w/ a soul spin-off, they need to do something new...

It's sad to me that Angel always gets screwed, like turning human for a day of perfect bliss with Buffy and then having to change back, (well he wasn't forced to, but the call of duty made him), and having to carry the burden of the memory alone, similar story with Conor, and then having to sign his Shan-Shu rights away...

I was a bit miffed that Lindsay was killed, but oh well.

And I think Illyria reaally grew to be very attracted to Wesley...that's all I feel like typing for now, I can't believe it over!!!!

My theory on Fred's soul -- they were all duped. The doctor guy told Gun that Fred's soul was destroyed and Wesley did some research that seemed to indicate the same thing. However, it just simply does not make sense. Throughout the Buffy series and the Angel series, souls have been characterized as forms of energy and there have been scientific like laws governoring magic. One of the basic laws of physics is that energy can not be created or destroyed; it can only be dispersed or transformed. I can not say for certain, but it seems like Willow even made reference to this fact at some point when talking about magic. Therefore I do not understand how Wesley and the other could believe that Fred's immortal soul was somehow destroyed.

When Illyria took over Fred's body, her soul could have been dispersed and lost amongst all of that overwhelming energy that ended up being too much. Now that some of that excess energy has been drawn away, it might be easier to reconstitute Fred's soul. However if her soul had only been dispersed then they probably would have quickly found a way to bring it back. Since her soul appeared to have been destroyed then it might have transformed into something else. There ought to be a way to transform it back. Illyria was a god-like creature with lots of inherent magic who appeared to be becoming more human. It seems reasonable to me that whether it was dispersed or transformed, via Wesley's love and the magical forces within Illyria, Fred's soul was making a comeback.
