I'm about to watch this movie as part of my Halloween moviethon and was pondering something; how come they never released it in widescreen yet?
Bram Stocker's Dracula (1992) got a collector's edition a few years ago. Why doesn't Frankenstein get the same treatment?
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) - widescreen?

Oh- this is pure Sony/Columbia-TriStar's handiwork.
They released a group of films on DVD back in '98 with flipper discs giving you both widescreen and full (Wild Things, this film, Starman) and then... re-released them in fullscreen only. So, they did release a widescreen version (proof: http://allmovie.com/dvd/mary-shelleys-f ... -wsps-1443 ). It's just out of print now.

Interesting. Any word on if they'll do a collector's edition like this one for Dracula?Lazario wrote:Oh- this is pure Sony/Columbia-TriStar's handiwork.
