The toys freaking rock as well. Cool light up figures and vehicles, 6 inch figures that talk and have animated faces of their character from the film AND a remote control Light Cycle that actually goes up walls. I'd like a 3 3/4 inch scale Recognizer toy and the Tron Legacy toy collection will be complete.

^ I guess they're playing up the romance part to get a certain demographic interested who might usually not be interested in a Tron film...which isn't a bad thing.

The poster won't be the cover, but the picture on top of that homepage is. I have a new video, Daft Punk now has the "Derezzed" Music Montage online. Check it out here:

Just attended Tron Night here in Hong Kong! I won 4 tickets on Facebook.
The preview was awesome as expected, and my favorite part was the disc battle scene which reminded me of the original film. Too bad we couldn't see more of the lightcycles in action, but I guess they didn't want to spoil too much for us.
Before the screening the president of Walt Disney Studios Asia-Pacific appeared to say a few words and host a lucky draw. Some lucky dude got a brand new Nokia N8 smartphone pre-loaded with the 23-minute preview in HD!
Meanwhile, the tickets for the event are nicer than any premiere/advanced screening ticket I've ever had: they're made of cardboard and come in individual envelopes. Each attendee also got a free, (literally) shiny limited edition poster. Pics:

That's awesome that you won tickets and great to hear that you both enjoyed the film. For those who didn't get a chance to see TRON Night, check out this review! It goes really into detail:

Really cool footage at Tron Night. It was a bit of a drive but it was nice to hang out with my brother. They handed out free posters and some cards and everyone had to get a wristband to get in.
They had a very strict no phone policy and we were wanded by security guards before we were allowed into the theater.
The scenes gave us a basic overview of the movie. The first scene was a dialogue scene and was in 2D. Next was Sam in Flynn's Arcade. After that they showed 3D clips from inside the computer world. Really cool stuff but even more impressive than the 3D effects was the sound. I think that is really a major reason to see this in Imax. When the Recognizers flew by you could almost feel it, the base was so deep. The Light Cycle scenes and the disc fights were really fun and exciting. Based on what they showed, I think Disney is going to make quite a bit of money off of this movie.

That's awesome that the sound was that great. It really makes the film that much more exciting. By the way, a new clip has just been released of when Sam and his dad see each other again for the first time. For those of you who didn't get a chance to see the Tron Night preview, here is a smaller one!

It appears a Tron TV series has been greenlit!:
http://www.moviehole.net/201033139-tron ... s-greenlit
"Popping another quarter into the newly refurbished TRON game, Disney XD have announced plans for an animated series based on the feature films – predominately, that of “TRON Legacy”.
“TRON Uprising”, set to bow in 2012, will be directed and executive produced by Charlie Bean (“Samurai Jack”) with “Tron: Legacy” writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz serving as consulting producers.
The only actor returning from the films is Bruce Boxleitner, lending his lungs to the character of TRON. Also onboard are [net nerd and film geek] Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui (from “Entourage”), Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Nate Corddry and Lance Henriksen (“Aliens”).
According to Variety, Disney TV Animation is behind the show. Disney Channels Worldwide entertainment prexy Gary Marsh called the new show “a culmination of an extraordinary collaboration between Disney Television Animation and our feature film studio.”
“Tron: Uprising” will focus on Beck (voiced by Wood), who leads a revolution inside the Grid’s computer world.
“When kids dream, particularly boys, this is what they dream about,” said Marsh, showing a “Tron: Uprising” clip to reporters on Thursday. “There’s a quality we brought to bear on this.”"

Love that they put the original 1982 poster for Tron at the beginning there. Had a total nerd-gasm when I saw that.

Everything that I've seen of this movie so far looks awesome. I've seen nothing so far that has been bad in any way. I worry that they may be giving a little too much away though. I think this movie could really be huge, I hope that it is.
Lastly, we need a 3 3/4 inch scale Recognizer toy. I don't care if its expensive, I need one to go with the other cool Tron vehicles.
Yes, I am very excited for this movie!
Another thing, I also saw the ad on No Ordinary Family last night. I've been telling people at work about this film and NO ONE had seen the preview. One guy finally saw it last night on No Ordinary Family now. I caught another one on Comedy Central, I think. There needs to be more exposure on TV.
