I remember Mike Mozart did a toy review on an Ariel lollipop where you basically lick Ariel's face. Funny shit.

She wants to be educated on what?

And she's a princess because she marries a prince, and acts like a princess (in mannerisms).

And your son can't even take care of DVDs right and your trying to potty train him?!

So acting like a princess, while you are not one, makes you one? She becomes a princess at the end (we assume), so the majority of the time we see her, she is not one. I'm sorry, I must have missed the wedding scene... I'll just assume they are married because they are dancing in formal clothes.

I brought up the "Belle wants to be educated" remark because Wonderlicious was comparing her to others, mentioning her reading of books.
And your son can't even take care of DVDs right and your trying to potty train him?!
He destroyed a VHS copy of Hercules.. you know, the tape can come out. We let him keep the VHS tapes in his room (we got a bunch for $20 on ebay so we weren't particularly worried).

What do you know about potty training? Still doing it? What age do you think children are when they go through potty training?

Damn girl. You're just mad at me because you expect everyone to love princesses.

The Disney Princess line tries to say every girl can be a princess, it's something inside more than a family heritage or title. I also think they should only have real princesses in the line, but Belle is one because in the final stained-glass window she wears a crown as does the prince. And if you really think they wouldn't get married, I don't why you would ever think that. It's just known that they would marry.

How do the books that Belle reads in the film educate Belle? What do they educate her on? When has she expressed that she wanted to be educated and not just read stories for the adventure they give her? I seriously want to know.

And the average age for potty-training is 2-3, I think children's biological muscles are usually finally ready then, but it really doesn't matter what age they are, you have to wait until your child shows you they really are ready themselves.

These last lines are so completely untrue I laugh. I'm not mad at you I'm just asking questions and explaining things.

Improving your vocabluary and expanding your language more sophistacted. Why do you think schools have you to read books?

WHITE CHOCOLATE?!?!?

That's FAKE chocolate. I absolutely refuse to eat Disney Princess Milk Buds if they're white chocolate.

Make some Disney Heroes Chocolate Milk Buds.

Or Disney Sidekicks Cinnamon Milk Buds.

And of course, we can't go without the Disney Villains Poisoned Dragon's Liver Milk Buds.

:P

I'll have some Disney Princess MilkBuds NOW. :p And a Rapunzel frying pan is amazing. It'd be really funny if they did actually go and make one.
pap64 wrote:I admit that at first I was kind of put off by this thread, simply because it reminded me a lot of Ariel'sprince (remember him?), right down to the poor grammar and thought it was an open attack on him and anyone that likes the Disney Princesses. But since Wonderlicious explained it all so well I see what he was trying to do.
Oh yeah, I remember him very vaguely. I'd forgotten about him for some time, and in his posting hayday I wasn't coming to UD that much to notice him (I started lurking and making one-off visits throughout much of 2007 and 2008, and when I made a pretty much full return in 2009, Ariel'sprince was gone). Anyway, the objective of my post, or with any Fangirl Wondy post, was not to bash anyone specific on this forum, past or present. We all have better English language skills than that, for one thing. :p It was to vent my frustration at the ridiculousness of the Disney Princess franchise, and on the long term damage it could cause Disney. Unless stuff like this does tickle your fancy:

:shifty:

Now all we need is for them to slap on the lacy collar.

Yep, SA. Very true. Unless, of course, those books that she was reading were actually comic books in disguise. :headshake: :p

I love seeing clipart of Aurora wearing an expression of uncertainty on some pieces of merch. Her face looks more beautiful on those than on the rest of the merch with her wearing a big smile.
