R1 release of the Rescuers - insert?

Post by erlryd »

Hi :), Quick question, does the US R1 release of "the Rescuers" have an insert with chapter listings? Just wondering since i seem to remember hearing somthing about it missing insets on this title.

Thanx

My DVD of The Rescuers did not come with an insert. What's up with that?
No Region 1 US DVD copies of The Rescuers contain an insert. Disney was tinkering with cutting costs and this practice of not including an insert went on for some time, even affecting notable releases like The Rescuers, Gangs of New York, and The Love Bug. Nonetheless, Disney received enough complaints to change their minds and supposedly, all future releases will have the inserts again. (Now if only we could get them to change their treatment of catalogue titles...)

Yeah, I can confirm that mine doesn't have a chapter insert, though it did come with a rebate offer in its place.

I remember when this Dvd came out and we had a thread on this topic I believe. I do not recall anyone mentioning that they had an insert but I made one for my dvd by using screen caps and photoshop.... It's not company quality but it is plenty for me. :)

There was no insert for The Rescuers. Here's the thread about that fiasco...

Yeah the only thing mine came with was a one page coupon for $5 off if you sent in the receipt and the proof of purchase for having bought the VHS tape of Rescuers. Thanks for finding the thread CatNC. You just beat me to it.
