I'm trying to decide which edition of Beauty and the Beast I should go for: the combo or the 2-disc DVD in November.

:?: Is there anywhere online, or even on UD, a list of special features for the 2-disc DVD?

I looked at the combo at HMV today, but realized there's no DVD bonus features with this set. It's pretty much the same reason as last year with Snow White; I went for the 2-disc DVD set rather than the combo.

Mine skipped too...I took back my copy and exchanged it for another one. I haven't watched the new one yet but I guess this is standard on every copy.

So far mine has skipped in two separate spots in the documentary

Click Here. Anything without the Blu-Exclusive will be on the DVD.

Thanks Escapay. Rats. I'm still undecided after looking at the list.

Here's another question....
Here's a pic of Walmart Canada's flyer ad:
Anyone know what's on the bonus CD? Anyone get this exclusive?

Someone was talking earlier about Walmart matching Toy's R Us' price for Beauty and the Beast. Can you only do this if you have a TRU paper in-hand showing the price while you're at Walmart? That seems so annoying.

And what's on this free CD from Target?

I'm thinking about buying the movie tomorrow, but I won't to be sure where I'm going to get it. I was thinking of going to Walmart--but only buying it there if I can find it with a free Tangled ticket. Otherwise, I'm getting it at Toy's R Us.

Also, is the coupon on DisneyMovieRewards just for the Blu-Ray/DVD or can you use it on the Blu-only package?

I've been reading some people haven't been able to get a copy at their stores. I really hope that doesn't happen to me... I'm going to be out buying David Archuleta's new CD tomorrow, too, so I thought I'd get both at the same time.

There is no Blu-ray only package. Either package you buy, you get 2 Blu-rays and 1 DVD.

Just watched my disc. Somehow my blu ray disc got scratched, but it did not affect the viewing. It fell off the edge of my desk before I took off the plastic wrap, but I don't know if that was enough to scratch it. When I opened it, the blu ray disc was loose and I'm not sure when it became loose. Anyway, it's nice to own the movie, though the colors in some parts did bother me. Belle's skintone and eyes drive me nuts when I think about them being like almost transparent or hazel rather than deeper brown. And when she's talking to her dad about his invention, something seems off with her face. Her hair appears more red than I remember and skin more pale, but the beast's darker blue jacket in the ballroom scene looks great. The whole ballroom looks nice. Considering I haven't owned this movie ever, it's nice to have and hopefully my son will grow to like it. He was hung up on Buzz as soon as the Toy Story 3 preview came on lol That's all he cared about.

As for the Tangled movie ticket voucher, I didn't see that on any of the copies I glanced at in Wal-Mart. I think something fell through the cracks with this. I don't imagine I'll need the voucher so I'm not worried about it for myself, but seems like a gyp to others.

I'm very pleased with the Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray! The picture is awesome, expectedly :D

But what I'm really thrilled about is that they actually used a regular thin-style Blu-ray case instead of the thick one they usually use for combo packs.

I'm a little surprised they put Cogsworth on the spine instead of... y'know... Belle or Beast (or even Lumiere like on the Platinum DVD lol)
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Really? I didn’t know that. I just remembered that with TP&TF, there was a blu-only, a Blu-ray/DVD, and a DVD-only. At least, I think there was. All I knew was that I was going Blu from now on, so I didn’t know how it would be.

Hopefully someone else will see my other questions though.

Picked up 2 copies of the Blu-ray combo today at Best Buy (1 for me, 1 for a friend). Had no problem getting my friends at the register using the coupon, but I had to go though customer service to get mine because of the IronPack preorder.

The lady at customer service had trouble ringing up the preorder, switched to a different computer, then read over the coupon for about 2 mins before deciding to scan it. The preorder/coupon still went though, but it was a hassle compared to going though the normal checkout. It was obvious that the lady didn't want to bother, and even slammed my Blu-ray on the counter when she had to switch computers. Thankfully she didn't damage it. My Best Buy has really gone downhill this year.

Anyway I have not had a chance to watch it yet, but plan to tomorrow night. Haven't seen this in several years so I'm really looking forward to it.

This one's really awkward since they cut away to the Beast bathing before the doors even close, making the shot feel sudden and incomplete. The original shot actually appeared on the 2002 DVD.
I just rented the Blu-ray from my library and saw that they did that (just as DisneyChris said). It's actually really distracting cutting in the middle of a camera move with the doors shutting. It looks like a jump cut or layer switch.

Anyone checked how this plays on the DVD? Do they make the same cut?

mine skipped too, but it was only on the "Walt Disney Fairy Tale" part. I suppose a firmware update will fix this?

Yeah. It's a faut of the Master, so it'll be on the DVD.

I dunno why, but I'm missing the rose that was part of the 'Tale as Old As Time" documentary.

I was watching the documentary as well and mine skipped in two places too. I have a PS3 as well. I was a little worried at first but since everyone is having the same issue, then it's fine for me. :)

Beauty and the Beast looks SOOO great on Blu-ray! However, I still feel that the Blu-ray is still packed because it still had those annoying lines. It kinda got distracting watching the film.

The CD at Target is also what I said it would be... just re-releases of Princess songs. But it was free, so what do we expect lol.

Still a little upset that we didn't get the Jordin Sparks Music Video on the DVD, but I am sure we will get it (hopefully lol) on the DVD version. I do not have a Blu-ray player on my computer where I can pull it off my Blu-ray, so I might just get the DVD next month as well. They could have easily cut out the stupid Zac and Cody promo for blu-ray and add the music video in that place. But, it's ok lol. :)
Overall, I am VERY happy with my purchase! :D

P.S.
Oh yeah, make sure that you check your Toys'R'Us receipt before leaving! They didn't give me the extra $5.00 off when I pre-ordered it, due to the $10.00 Coupon. The lady at customer service fixed it for me, thank God! The guy didn't ring up my order right! They did the same thing with Tinker Bell! They forgot to give me the $10.00 Gift Card, but I got that fixed before I left the store as well. :)

I don't recall seeing any "annoying lines".

Yeah, mine was in the Fairy Tale section, and I am playing it on a PS3.

I SHOULD have the latest firmware, but I'm not sure.

And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true

I tried to play my free Target CD in the computer (was kinda psyched that it has "That's How You Know" on it, since I haven't gotten the Enchanted soundtrack yet and have been long meaning to), but it doesn't seem to recognize it as a music CD. Annoying! I hope my car CD player does at least. I couldn't even get the individual music files to play by when clicking on them one by one on the comp...
