In the past, Avatar of the Year and Signature of the Year was a nomination that encompassed all the avatars and/or signatures a nominee used within the year. Members would simply nominate "Joe Bob's Avatar" or "Kelly Angela's Signature" and when the actual nominations came out, it would simply show the most recent avatar/signature for that nominee. Since then, the nomination highlights a specific avatar and signature, even though there's no "provide a description..." blurb for Signature of the year. I should probably amend it to include that blurb. But yes, if possible, also submit a brief description of which signature you're nominating.sotiris2006 wrote:Escapay, how come we need to provide a description of the avatar we're nominating and not for the signature too?
ETA: I've edited the first post to include the "provide a brief description" bit now.
No, I'm sorry.sotiris2006 wrote:Also, regarding the Fantasia DVD & Blu-ray thread, which was created on the 31st of May 2009 and continues to be active, will it be considered eligible for a nomination?
Even if it's just a few hours, it still falls out of the eligibility period, and I can't make any exceptions.sotiris2006 wrote:I know that you've said the 'Of the Year' means from 6/1/09 - 9/30/10 but it seems unfair for it to be excluded by a few hours when it was one of the most prominent threads of the year...
It's not eligible for this year's Awards, but it will be eligible for next year (when the eligibility period is 10/1/2010 to the day before the nomination process begins next year).sotiris2006 wrote:One more thing, is the review for BatB: Diamond Edition which was posted on the 1st of October 2010, eligible or not?
Were I to make exceptions for the Fantasia thread and the Beauty and the Beast review, then that would open the floodgates with requests to make exceptions for various other things, such as threads and/or games that were created before the eligibility period, inactive for awhile, then revived and very active during the eligibility process. I can't just include everything, even if they were more active in an eligibility period than in their original creation date. I hope everyone understands that.
