We are definitely taking our daughter to see this. She's just over 3 and-a-half and LOVES the original Shrek. Heck, at this age she's too young to understand any of the suggestive jokes and she'll just enjoy the film.

We are also looking into possibly taking our class to see it on Thursday.

i think i'm gonna take my daughter to see this too. they have really, really been hyping up this movie with all the shrek2 merchandise--and it seems like i've been waiting forever for it to come out too because they started selling shrek2 stuff a long time ago (ogurt and shrek flavored sherbert ice cream being popular :) ) i hope the movie isn't a let down with shrek being an exception, the dremworks theaters wow me the least of most of the animation companies

I might go see this one with my friends this weekend.

If I don't, I'm not going to be too upset. I'm not too fond of the Shrek title, but I don't hold anything against it.

The reviews so far have been excellent.

I can't wait. Dreamworks has had a lot of dogs lately, but they seem to have hit a great one with the Shrek franchise.

I probably won't be seeing this in theaters, I'll just buy it when the DVD comes out. The reason for this being that I don't typically make an effort to see animated films in theaters. I don't feel there's usually much to gain in seeing an animated film in theaters over waiting till it's on DVD, except that you have to wait longer to see it on DVD of course.

I love Donkey. "I'm a STALLION baby!" I want to see Puss in Boots too. I want to see him cough up the hairball.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

Heh... got my tickets and everything, but man, when you take a step back and observe the promotional juggernaut and hype for this film, it's kinda scary. And of course this film's going to be huge, even though it's not exactly "high art," in terms of animation. I mean, its whole schtick is to tear down what others have worked hard to build up - and how long can that last?

But anyhoo, this one looks pretty good, but I'm taken aback by how much DreamWorks plans to milk this "franchise" - Shrek 3 is already in production, and there are plans for a fourth, and a fifth, even. O_o Might get a little tired, guys. Just a fair warning. :|

It was originally May 21st, but a few weeks ago they announced that they were pushing it up to Wednesday, the 19th.

Shrek 5? Yeah, that sounds like a tad much.

But Shrek 2? Yesssssir. I'll hopefully see a matinee today. If not today, then soon!

Does this mean I'm spending money I don't have? Yes, yes it does. Thank you, Treasures.

Just got back from seeing Shrek 2. One word: HILLARIOUS! This movie was amazing and so damn funny! It also has heart which made it even more great. I was laughing the whole way through. I personally think it is 100% better than the first and Puss in Boots just steals the whole movie. Im amazed that even though kinda soon after the first and its a sequel that it would be this excellent. Im gonna have to say the best movie I have seen this year(even better than Home on the Range). Easliy one of my favorite movies now. Go see it NOW!

O ya if your theatre is playing it on a IMAX screen see it there instead it was great.

I'm mildly interested in seeing this. I liked the first one, but didn't love it. Reviews for the sequel have been extremely positive, though I find it interesting that in terms of whether or not it's better than the original critics are split. It seems in general that people who were huge fans of the original didn't like the sequel as much and people who weren't liked it more.
