I love Lionsgate for picking up all these 'rejected' BVHE/Touchstone releases! I wonder when (or should I say if) they'll release seasons 1 - 3 since they're OOP.

I'm surprised the BVHE release season 4 is still listed on sites like Amazon and Wherehouse, it has a release date of January 2006. It was never released and on Wherehouse it says you can sell it for $8.00! Guess somebody never took it down from its original announcement.

Man, am I the only one who doesn't really care too much for the earlier sets of the show? I love the show but it's the later sets I want. I always preferred the high school and college years to the earlier 6th grade/middle school eps.

I might buy the rereleased season 3 to ensure that we get S4, though.

Amen, Avaitor.

Basically only cared for the show after Topanga dropped the bomb on Cory (the end of the "Graduation" episode).

I like this show and Im glad it's finally coming to DVD. I like the whole series, but I do agree about some of the later years being the better ones. It's a really funny show. One word can describe the comedy: Eric.

No, you're not the only one ...Of course, I also don't care about the earlier seasons either.

I just read that and was about to post it but you beat me to it.

I'm thinking that season 4 will be released next year sometime. If Lionsgate didn't want to release future seasons I don't think they would've got the rights to the series.

Some good news heading our way!:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Boy-Me ... on-4/14179

"As we reported back in mid-June, on September 7th Lionsgate Entertainment is re-releasing DVD sets for Boy Meets World - Season 1, Boy Meets World - Season 2 and Boy Meets World - Season 3. These identical titles were put out in 2004-05 by ABC/Disney, but were discontinued after that studio canceled plans to release the fourth season on DVD.

Lionsgate licensed Boy Meets World from ABC/Disney in 2008, along with many other properties, and is now set to satisfy fans who have been waiting patiently for releases to finally continue. Lionsgate decided to begin with getting the first three seasons back on the market, using the same content and box art that ABC/Disney used previously. But fans who already own the old sets have been wondering when Boy Meets World - Season 4 will be coming.

A few hours ago today @LionsgateMedia posted on Twitter the possible answer to that question! Their twee was in answer to Craig Kocher, who posed that very question: "do you have any info on Season 4 of 'Boy Meets World' coming out on DVD?" Others have asked that question in the past, but this time @LionsgateMedia chose to answer with this statement: "No official word yet on Boy Meets World S4, but keep an eye out within the next 6-8 months!" Six to eight months from now puts us in the January-to-March timeframe, otherwise known as "the first quarter of 2011".

Could that be when we'll finally see the long-awaited fourth season set? And if so, will it use the same box design that ABC/Disney created in 2005 (see below), before they canceled their own plans for that title? Remember, this is all early, and based on speculation which may or may not be correct. And even if it is, early plans can always change (as we've seen before!). Stay tuned for further developments, and we'll keep you updated."

DECEMBER 7

Courtesy of TVShowsonDVD
  • Fans have been waiting since 2005 for Boy Meets World - Season 4 on DVD, when ABC/Disney announced the title for release, then quickly canceled those plans. In 2008 Lionsgate licensed the DVD rights to this show (along with others) from ABC/Disney, and just last week they re-released Seasons 1, 2 and 3 as individual box sets.

What about Season 4? Back at the end of July we passed along word from the Lionsgate Media account on Twitter that fans should "keep an eye out within the next 6-8 months"...we calculated that to mean "early 2011". Well, that turns out to be the wrong timeframe , because today Lionsgate informed retailers that Boy Meets World - Season 4 will be available even earlier than that!

Our retailer contacts inform us that Lionsgate Entertainment has put Boy Meets World - Season 4 for DVD on the schedule in time for the holidays, with a long-awaited street date of December 7th! You'll get a 3-disc set with 22 episodes starring Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and William Daniels, running approximately 600 minutes long. Package art provided by Lionsgate is shown below, and as you can see (and, as we expected!) it turns out to be the same cover art design that ABC/Disney was planning to use five years ago. Video is listed as full frame, and audio is expected to be in English 2.0 Dolby Digital. The closed captioning logo can be spotted on the spine of the box, as shown below, so we presume that it's included as well.

Cost is a mere $29.98 SRP, so buying this won't burn a hole in your wallet, either! Want to know something else? Our retailer friends who've passed all of this info on to us also mention that this release will be celebrated with plans for some TV appearances and reunions with the cast members, so keep an eye out on the talk shows and morning news programs for that sort of thing!

For some reason, ^ that really reminds me of John Cleese's character from Fawlty Towers.

While not the biggest fan of this show, I still am excited by this news and it gives me hope for others how I do like that have met similar fates to this one before Lionsgate saved it.[/i]

Yes, now, amazon just needs to pick it for pre-order. There are Items pre-orderable which will be released in march.

I already did lost hope and tried to sell the S1-S3 in the past years because I can't use incomplete series. But I couldn't get them sold.

Amazon now has it listed, albeit incorrectly as Season 3:

Sounds like no bonus features, sadly. Still, I'm psyched to get and hopefully review this. Shame it had to take five more years than anticipated and now with a studio less reliable than even Disney on TV-DVDs.

Amazon finally fixed the issue with which season it actually was and they added the artwork. This has got to be the best season of BMW!

I've listed all the episodes from season 4 that will be on this set. I've also rated the episodes on a 1-4 star scale.

**"You Can Go Home Again"- Cory and Eric make the last stop on their summer long road trip but Eric isn't ready to head home. Alan wins an award but is still unhappy at his grocery store job.

****"Hair Today, Goon Tomorrow"- Topanga cuts her hair to prove looks don't matter. Horrified by what she's done she goes to a salon and her new good looks soon turn her into a different person and make Cory more self concious.

*"I Aint Gonna Spray Lettuce No More"- Alan quits his grocer job without telling Amy causing her to make a huge family decision without telling him. Shawn teaches Cory how to be poor.

**"Fishing For Virna"- Shawn's mother is back in town affecting Shawn and Chet. Cory deals with loss when the school lunch lady passes away.

***"Shallow Boy"- Eric upsets his musician girlfriend causing her to write a hit song about him in a negative light. Cory's attempts at helping Topanga babysit find them arguing about future parenting techniques.

*"Janitor Dad"- Shawn wishes his Dad would get a real job but feels humiliated when his Dad takes a job as the school janitor. Alan and Eric look for help at the wilderness store and wind up hiring attractive Lonnie, a girl from the mountains.

***"Singled Out"- Eric goes on MTV's dating show Singled Out posing as a college student. Cory worries about getting his tonsils out and urban legends he's heard about hospitals.

****"Dangerous Secret"- Cory gets the wrong idea when he learns Shawn had a girl spend the night. It causes him to question the slow pace of his relationship with Topanga but then finds he and Shawn dealing with more serious issues.

****"Sixteen Candles and 400-lb. Men"- Cory agrees to help Frankie win the love of his father, but when plans conflict with Topanga's sweet sixteen party, Cory must be in two places at once.

*"Turkey Day"- Shawn and Cory plan the first ever Hunter-Matthews Thanksgiving celebration, but class differences make the families uncomfortable.

****"An Affair to Forget"- Shawn's ex-girlfriend wants to give things another shot, but there's one condition: Shawn can't see Cory anymore. Meanwhile, Eric writes a one-man play about his life. (Hilarious)

*"Easy Street"- Shawn and Cory get jobs at Christmas. When they learn the men they work for might be questionable Cory quits but Shawn might get sucked further in. Meanwhile Eric and a girl, Lonnie, get caught in a snowstorm.

**"B&B's Bn'B"- Eric meets up with Mr. Feeny out of town and they discuss friendships and relationships. Shawn turns Feeny's house into a bed and breakfast.

****"Wheels"- On his sixteenth birthday Cory just wants to hit the road with his friends but his father isn't ready to let him grow up just yet.

****"Chick Like Me"- Shawn dresses up like a girl to experience a girls point of view; and it's not what he expected. Meanwhile, Eric teaches Lonnie how to get along with city men.

****"Long Walk to Pittsburg (1)"- A small kiss between Shawn and Topanga finds Cory concerned, but when he learns Topanga is moving out of town he realizes his problems are bigger than he thought.

****"Long Walk to Pittsburg (2)"- Cory is still depressed without Topanga; but when she appears at his door, his hope is renewed. Now he must convince his parents that he and Topanga are truly in love.

*"Uncle Daddy"- When Eric dates a girl with a son he starts to wonder if he's ready to be a father. Corey, Shawn and Topanga study for the SAT.

****"Quiz Show"- Cory, Shawn and Topanga become stars of a high school quiz show when the producers turn them into dumb downed characters for better ratings. It's up to Mr. Feeny to remind them of the importance of educational value.

*"Security Guy"- Alan fires Eric who then gets a job as a security guy. Feeny tries to convince Eric to retake the SAT's, meanwhile Cory and Topanga try to convince Shawn to take Feeny's SAT prep course.

***"Cult Fiction"- Feeling an emptiness Shawn joins a cult, but when Mr. Turner winds up in an accident Shawn realizes its real relationships and people who love him that matter the most.

**"Learning to Fly"- Eric visits a party school in his last attempts to avoid the possibility of failing at a proper college. Meanwhile when Topanga backs out the trip Cory has to deal with the advances of college girl Mary Beth. [/b]
