Whatever happened to Dumbo 70th Anniversary Release?

Post by Disneydood »

Was it just delayed or outright cancelled? Still glad I held onto my Big Top Edition, everyone said it would be replaced soon but it's been the only release for 5 (going on 6) years now!

It's been "delayed". It's supposed to come out Spring 2011, but we haven't had any word on it for months now. So I'm just keeping my fingers crossed!

I hope it will be released on Blu! I do not have a Blu Ray player, but it is about time Disney released this on Blu Ray. Mary Poppins needs a good Blu Ray release as well. WE NEED NO MORE DVD ONLY COPIES OF MARY AND DUMBO! WE WANT BLU-RAY!

The Blu-ray is out since march in almost the whole world. Everybody who wants it could import the movie.

Got my Mexican import for a reasonable price from a guy at dvdtalk who bought about 8-10 of them & it is gorgeous.

For those who live in Los Angeles, the import blu-ray is sometimes available at Amoeba. And it also shows up regularly on Amazon and ebay.

Does everyone think we'll get the same cover design in the US that the rest of the world got?

Dumbo is now one of Disney's vault-titles, so I guess you have to wait pretty long till there will be a new DVD/ BD-release.

Not in the US, you won't. Unless you mean after February's release eventually disappears.
