Armchair Imagineering: Bambi's Forest Adventures

Post by avonleastories95 »

Similar to my latest post on the "What would YOU like to see in Disneyland?" thread, I decided to put my new and imroved ideas for a Bambi dark "mild thrill" (as HersheyPark would call it) ride. Bambi definitely, along with some Live Action features, needs to be represented at Disneyland/world. This ride is a little something to build recongnition.
Bambi's Forest Adventures
Queue (sp?): The artwork for the cue lines are similar to the 55th anniversary VHS cover art. To the left side, you will find illustrations of Ronno and Faline, to the right, Thumper, Flower, and Friend Owl. Near the door, there will be a picture of the Great Deer Prince.
Spring: Your riding vechile is similar to Logs in Splash Mountain. Like Snow White's Adventures, each of the logs has a character's name from the movie on it. Once you enter, you are in a hallway painted like Grass. You also hear the song of Birds whistling to "Love is a Song." You can obviously tell that someone is being born, and your thoughts are exactly right! In a clear opening, you see Audio Animatronics of Bambi's Mother and Bambi as a Fawn. Thumper says "Come with us, friends, there is so much more to see!"
Winter : This is where the fun starts. Thumper leads you to the Winter scene. As Thumper teaches Bambi to Ice Skate, you are actually in the fun! The reason being you actually Ice Skate along with Bambi and Thumper, and I must warn you, there are a lot of pirouettes!
Autumn: This is where the climax builds up. For Man has entered the Forest, and I am not talking about guests on the ride! The building's temperature starts to rise, and you see orange flames. If this was not bad enough, Ronno tries to run your Log down, and the Huntin' Dogs are not too happy to see you, either! But Bambi then comes to the rescue, and Bambi and Ronno are fighting, with the riders as witnesses! Bambi has won, but the Dogs are still looking for the guests and Bambi. Your log then speeds up to 40 MPH, until you reach a cliff. Bambi flies off to the ending with the greatest of ease, but for you, the ride is not so easy! You reach up a 2 story hill, and then you drop down with the 40 MPH speed again. You know you are safe, but the Forest is now in flames.
Ending: You see a very nice illustration of Bambi, Faline, and their Children, and as you leave, on the top of the ride, you will also see an illustration of Bambi as the Great Prince of the new Forest.
