HD TV or Computer Monitor for under $300?

My parents agreed to help me buy a new TV for college.

The total cost shouldn't exceed $300.

I'm looking for the biggest screen and best picture quality possible at that budget price. I know I won't be getting past a 26" (and even that is stretching it) - but we don't have a ton of money to spend on a TV.

I'd like to possibly hook-up a Blu-ray player in the future, so an HDTV would be nice.

Also hooking up the school's cable service, N64, and Wii.

Anyone have any suggestions for a new, reliable, quality TV for under $300?

If no such thing exists, any ideas for a nice 1080p computer monitor for less than $300?

I would say to give Best Buy a look. They usually have sales and whatnot on top of some good prices, especially if you're looking at 26 and lower. Hope that helps some! And hope you have a good semester
