How many songs do you have on your iTunes?

Post by pick »

I was just wondering, as for now I have 1109 songs on my iTunes, and I feel it's TOO MUCH! Most of them I won't even listen to anymore...
How many songs do you guys have on your iTunes? And is it normal for you to do a "clean-up" once in a while, to erase some songs you actually won't ever pay any attention anymore?

420. All bought and paid for or ripped from CDs I bought and paid for. I do clean-ups occasionally, but I keep all the music I delete from my iPod on back-up CDs in case I want it back for whatever reason.

2,988 songs. Although some are repeats, like if I buy a new album that has bonus tracks or anything. And I've got an audio-book of the Hobbit and most of the tracks are only a minute a long, so there's about 300 of those =P.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

1692.

I had over 14,000 a week or two ago but did a MASSIVE clean up and deleted all the ones I never listened to.

770 items, which according to my iTunes is equivalent to 1.9 days. I think that I may do a slight clean-up, which I have done in the past.

1318 songs. 98 albums.

I gotta add tho, I was always against getting a iPod and such, but when my phone broke and I lost all my music with it, I was very happy when my boyfriend bought me a Limited Edition Red iPod touch, with my name engraved. Yup, just using this moment as an excuse to say how much I love him. My boyfriend that is, and well...my iPod too... 8)

If the crash has nothing to do with your hard drive and your hard drive is still working, then it is possible to save those files by installing that hard drive in another computer. If the Hard drive is stuffed, then there is little hope. If it's to do with a virus, providing the files are not infected et cetera, just grab a copy of Linux (Ubuntu - http://www.ubuntu.com for example), burn it to a disc and then boot in Live Disc mode (it won't affect your current operating sytem (OS - Windows, Mac OSX, et cetera). Just a suggestion anyway.

721 Songs ripped from CDs bought from the store, first CD being the Lion King bought in 1998 for $9.99 I believe. The Lion King I believe was also my first VHS (~1995/96).

I passed the 10,000 mark a while back. I still have several hundred CDs that I've yet to import into iTunes, though, so the number will surely be going up soon.

1,711 songs, too lay to count the albums. Something like 3.9 days worth of listening? All of it's legitimately acquired through purchasing, trading, and legal downloading, with a few legal free downloads.

I have 50-60 CD's I haven't added since some are damaged due to poor care, and others I never listen to anymore. My latest addition was the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

I sadly do not have an Ipod, but if I did, I would make sure I would have these songs:
I Will Follow Him
God Help the Outcasts
Ave Maria
Night On Bald Mountian (can the Ipod download classical music?)
The Opening Theme from Swan Lake
Do-Re-Mi
Chim Chim Chree
Hey A Movie!
You Raise Me Up
Candle on the Water
Opening Of "The Tale of the Frog Prince" (I know that it's some piece, what is the name of it?)
Be Our Guest
and Colors of the Wind

5,500 currently I think. It's spread over about 530 albums. It does seem like too much, I think the limit I would cap myself on is if i hit over 24 GB of music. Anything more than that seems cumbersome.
