When I went to theaters to see, "Toy Story 3," "Despicable Me," and, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," they all laugh at Flynn Rider's smolder from Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," trailer.

Tangled is already being discussed here.

I expect that this thread will be merged soon :/

And if not, we can use this thread for nonsense.

The audience laughed AT the "smolder" shot when I saw TS3. The trailer makes the movie look like Tweener Sitcom crap.

Orange County, CA, USA. Saw it in front of TS3, and the audience practically ignored it. Pascal got what few laughs there were.

Much better reactions for Despicable Me, Megamind and Legend of the Guardians, all of which were shown later, after people got more settled in.

I JUST GOT A HUGE REVELATION reading this...
Of course, come on ! Which average alpha viewer is gonna prefer a pinkie blonde and a smiling guy + a chameleo, even if they're rock and funny... when they can have some Harry Potter, big 3D fun monsters, Lord of Ring, Avatar (or sincere Myazaki) and so on... In a way, i can't blame them.... Disney Empire will faill if Tangled doesn't do great scores, they say, and it can't make better scores than Harry Potter, big 3B fun monsters, Lord of Ring, Avatar and so on. Come on ! The battle is lost by advance.

1990 Lion King style Miracles are over. It's like disguising cheese into bananas to attract monkeys... LET'S STOP IT. FORGET THE MOUSE, THE CHEESE, stop the hypocrisy and make banana jam now....

Why do Disney insist in doing fairytales ? To satisfy us ? It's pathetic but so nice. They barely do it because that movie gonna be too much "Yo Man !" for us and not "Yo Man !" enough for the rest of the public that does not want to see psychodrama between a flowered haired girl and her mama...
That "In-Between" mix is not good. It's laughable at the end.... rock'n roll trailer for a movie that turns out to be heartful and classic. Boyish efforts but pink girl marketting toys.... Insane Tangling Chaos at the end !
They should be honest, burry once for all that Disney Heritage that has become a burden, even change the name of the compagny and make giant comic SF movie with cow boys, aliens, fights, cars, rock stars, jona brothers, etc... all the modern stuff that 2020 audience will like.
I know it's a terrible and sad but true revelation. It's breaking my heart to be the one to say that because i live for Disney movies, i m in love with 90 princesses, even Tarzan, Silver and co, and i long for Snow Queen to come to life again, i want to see Don Quixote, Ramayana and other epic classical stories back in production. But Reality caught me.

Anyway, i'll be eternally grateful for their last effort, an effort called TANGLED....
