DVD scenes as backgrounds?

Is there anyway to take a scene from a DVD, when it is in a computer and copy to either paint or use it as the background?

most DVD programs for computers have a screen capture possibility, just look at your program and it should be there.

I have InterActual DVD player on my comptuter and I couln't find anything to click.

In my experience with various DVD players on the computer, pressing the 'P' button typically captures the image into a DVDCapture folder.

Ludwig, tell me if you find this out. I have a Windows comp in my room now, so it's become my primary computer. Before this year (the college "strongly suggests"/practically requires a Windows comp), I had really only used Mac. I'm a Mac wiz, but practically illiterate when it comes to Windows.

I, too, have Interactual Player, and I have an Amy Grant DVD on its way in the mail that I'd love to capture some scenes from . Sure, I can just do it on the Mac, but then I'd have to send it up here to this comp, blah, blah, blah... it'd be easier to do it on here.

So, if anyone else has Interactual Player and figures how to do this, I'd definitely appreciate it. Thanks.

I use InterActual player only when I have to view DVD-ROM features. I use PowerDVD if I'm not, because it provides excellent film quality and the ability to capture screens from the movie. WinDVD is another good option but is more expensive.

Well, I have InterVideo WinDVD 4, which I thought was somehow related to InterActual DVD, but maybe not. For what it's worth, here's what it says in the help section:

If you want to remember a perfect (or not so perfect) image in a movie, capture it as a still image.

To capture a still image from a DVD or other video content, at the desired place in the movie, click the Capture button or press P on the keyboard. The image is captured to memory, and the Capture Browser opens.

To capture additional images, click the capture button in the Capture Browser. Each image is shown by a thumbnail in the browser. Since the images are saved to memory, you can capture images in rapid sequence.

Captured images can be saved to disc using the Save and Save All buttons in the browser. Closing the browser does not delete the captured images, but they will be lost when WinDVD exits unless you save them.

The Capture Browser buttons are used to work with captured images. They are:

Capture/Preview

Save Current/Save All

Delete Selected/Delete All

Note: capture does not work on zoomed regions and when using some types of hardware acceleration. If you are having a problem, try turning off the Hardware Acceleration option in the Video tab of the Setup dialog box and/or in the Color subpanel.

This feature may not be available with some OEM versions of WinDVD. Some OEM versions include the Angle feature instead of Capture. If this is the case, the Angle button will appear in place of the Capture button. Upgrade to WinDVD Plus to get this feature. Details are on the InterVideo web site.

There is no feature for it on InterActual DVD player but on Windows Media Player under help there is one but I can't seem to get it to appear on the menu.
