A bit of disappointment

Post by bmadigan »

Apparently the DD Treasure set only has 36 shorts on it. Why is this when they manged to get 46 shorts on the Goofy set and will probably do likewise for Pluto. This leaves 89 Donald Duck shorts, which could conceivably be done in two more sets, but they could extend to three more instead. :?

Remember that there are quite a few DD shorts included in the "Front Lines" set not likely to be duplicated in the next DD set, so I'd say that leaves about 80, which would be just fine for two more sets.

See, they say it is "Highly Recommended." It looks like they only mention two Easter eggs though. On Disc 2 you can click on the devil or the angel version of Donald and each leads to a dfferent thing.

Well, Page 1 of our Chronological Donald review is up:
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/donald.html

I'm about 1/4th done with Disc 2's shorts and they are all fine in terms of video and audio. Page 2 of the review will go up Friday afternoon.

Thanks for posting, Luke! Nice to see that they included the complete "Wise Little Hen" (I heard there was only going to be an excerpt).
I was expecting a not-as-good-as-Mickey transfer for Donald, specially (as you stated in the review) because these are older shorts. But do you think they are at least comparable to the very-good-sometimes-great-looking "Mickey Mouse ILC Vol. 1"?

Looking forward to part 2! ;)

It's been well over two years since I saw them, but from what I remember, I think Living Color Vol 1 was a bit better.
