Boo! The non-combo pack cover is better! I love the gigantic logo like they used ala TS/TS2 DVD Edition. (The ones released weeks after the TS/TS2 blu-rays) And I just thought, the combo pack's case will probably thicker than the first two. Hm, I will try and get both when they release.

Yeah, I'm insane.

Oh, and I googled Alex Syntek and THANK GOODNESS he is not a Disney Channel teen actor as I thought. He's the one who sang, "Hay Un Amigo En Mí"! I freaked out we would get a nasty rendition of a Pixar song.

I think I like the dvd only version best, but the combo pack isnt bad either. well, neither is the blu ray compared to the previous toy stories, but I don't care for it much, too clutters, background non existent. the dvd one stands out because it doesn't have a distracting border doesn't have any giant blu ray logos or whatnot. its just clean and nicely balanced. you can even see potatoheads arm now.

But oh well, I'll settle on the combo pack.

Edit: for the sake of having all 3 on the same page, lets throw in the third one to have them all in one post.

I kind of like the 2-Disc BD art better. I am not really sure if I will get the 2-Disc BD or the 3-Disc BD/DVD combo pack. The features sound pretty promising (though a good few might just be fluff).

I am also not so sure about the Mater's Tall Tales BD that is accompanying Toy Story 3. I would rather have had The Incredibles or Finding Nemo.

Buzz and Jessie's dance in the end credits were inspired by a duo who were on Dancing with the Stars. They came, the animators watched them dance, and they incorporated it into the film.

I really like both covers but will be getting the 2-disc BD since that cover is pretty reminiscent of the first two. As others have said, I hope Buzz is on the spine.

The bonus material sounds excellent. I wish more Disney titles had Cine Explore. You get galleries, behind the scenes footage, and a commentary all rolled up into one. I like the consistency of bringing back the Buzz, Studio Stories, and Paths to Pixar supplements from the first two, too. This is easily the best new release Disney's done in a long time (I'm looking at YOU, Alice in Wonderland BD).

It sucks that Disney isn't releasing a 2disc DVD edition. I don't have a blu-ray player and have no intention of buying one just for this movie. These hollywood studios need to stop trying shove there gay-ray format down our throats.

Your loss. It doesn't count as shoving down our throats when the majority of us like whats being fed to us. Let DVD go, Its time to move on. (when you can afford to)

Not to go off topic, but I'm happy with DVD. DVD was a huge step up from VHS, LD, and VCD. Blu-ray only offers a little more resolution than DVDs. DVDs are better for me since I own several DVD players in different rooms of my house. Region free DVD players are very common. Are region free Blu-Ray players common? Can I rip blu-rays on my hard drive and play them on MP3 player?

Why is Disney giving DVD owners the shaft? No matter how cool Lots-o is I'm not going to be bullied into getting a Blu-ray player.

DVD still has roughly the same amount of pixels as Laserdisc or VHS, around 300,000, while Blu-ray has roughly 2 million pixels. Seems like a big improvement to me. You're not getting bullied into anything, if you want the exclusive extras, get the Blu-ray. If you don't, then don't.
