I believe that the publicity section in the international section, will probably be internation based publicity, sich as cd covers from around the world, ect...2099net wrote:I find it odd it's placed in the "International Mulan" section. That's all. Plus, the Lion King DVD had no trailers, but managed to give us umpteen soundtrack covers, where, as far as I can remember, the only difference were the language the Lion King was written in.
Of course, that's not to say the trailers can't be elsewhere, included in the now obligitary "and more"

I thought so at first as well, but it sounds to me like sort of a cross b/w TLK Disc 2 and BATB/SB Disc 2, with an emphasis on BATB/SB. Of course, that's a good thing.Jack wrote:The only possible downside is what could be the return of ultra-fragmented, mini-featurettes like those on TLK. I really enjoyed Brother Bear's 45-min segmented documentary, and I hope Mulan's featurettes are closer to that than TLK's (which really left a bad taste in my mouth).
It sounds like this will be a solid release, and I'm very excited. And a slip cover! Awesome! Now if only they'd label it "Masterpiece Edition"...

Yup, a slipsleeve package!!!! Brother Bear should had have one since it was a Special Edition. I know Aladdin PE has one but will Mary Poppins have on as well. I really think that the sleepsleeves packages makes the DVD more wonderful to own.I can't believe nobody's mentioned this:
WOOHOO!!!! The Slipcase is back!!!!! It seems as if it's now reserved for special/important releases.A film to be treasured, the new MULAN SPECIAL

It's good to hear that the slipcase is coming back. I loved those things, so I was sad to see them absent with Brother Bear.
The picture of the Mary Poppins cover art definitely looks like a slipcase. Whether it's a slipcase for an amaray or a digipack is the question.MickeyMousePal wrote:I know Aladdin PE has one but will Mary Poppins have on as well.

Ok, I know what an Amaray is, but what's a Digipack? Is it the kind of case that most TV show season sets come in (i.e. Friends, The Simpsons, etc.), as well as the new Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Sound of Music and Roger Rabbit sets?

Yup, that's a Digipak. I hate them, and I strongly doubt Disney would ever do those, thank goodness. Overall, the Mulan DVD sounds great. It sounds better than Alice in Wonderland's and about on-par with Sleeping Beauty (both of which were solid DVD's). It's really good to see that Mulan's getting in-depth galleries since I was afraid Disney was deciding to abandon those for Art Reviews which are cool, but not as vast as true galleries. I really hope there are trailers on this release, too.

Well, they did one with Roger Rabbit. But that movie's a bit of an anomoly, and I guess they haven't done it with any straight-up Disney releases (that I know of), so that's good. However, with Sound of Music and Chitty both getting SE digipack releases within the last year, I'm still a little worried.

Yeah, the Jackie Chan thing seems a little weird too. Is it just because he's Asian? lol

I don't think Jackie Chan will be singing. From the looks of the trailer, he'll probably just be jumping and dancing. Notice how it says "featuring" Jackie Chan, and not "performed by." But we'll see. Maybe it will be Donnie O on the vocals!

HAHHAA, now that would be a treat.
"Donny Osmand and Jackie Chan team up for the first time in an unforgettable musical performance on masculinity."
Yeah, I didn't think it would be him singing either, but even the thought of him dancing/martial arts-ing to a music video seems just a little weird to me. It'll be a little hard to not make it corny.

I've given up on their whole labeling system of 2-Disc sets. Clearly, if it's a 2 disc, it's worth getting than a one-discawallaceunc wrote:

It's no worse than flavor-of-the-month pop pansy Clay Aiken singing on the Aladdin dvd. It's just Disney's clumsy, flailing attempts to be "cool" and "contemporary" by using brand-name actors and singers to promote their stuff. Chan probably is only in this music video because he's Chinese - and popular. Or at least well-known. More examples of Disney acting the sheep now, instead of the shepherd. -_-awallaceunc wrote:HAHHAA, now that would be a treat."Donny Osmand and Jackie Chan team up for the first time in an unforgettable musical performance on masculinity."

Just Kidding who wants to see William Hung?
This guy can't even sing and doesn't have a girlfriend how lame.
Like hello he got booted on American Idol.
William Hung with "She Bangs" well, that's cool.Personally, instead of the "Make a Man Out of You" music video with Donnie O singing and Jackie Chan jumping and dancing . . .
I'd like to see a "Reflection" video with William Hung singing AND jumping and dancing!

lol...yeah...considering
If they wanted to add the Chinese spice to Mulan, they couldve done more (animation and music) wise than just grab a bunch of Asian American actors to do the voices...take it from someone who is
