Hooray! My laptop saved the day! I saw the clips! Here goes...
Clip #1:
- I still don't get the whole Fairy Camp thing. It seems like a continuity failure to me. I thought only Nature Talents and Tink went to the Mainland. I really, really hope they do a better job of explaining. I mean, Tink seems suitably confused... Maybe it's some sort of special exception to the rule? It must not happen every summer, since there was a summer between Tinker Bell and Lost Treasure, so she probably would have found out about it then....
- The brunette fairy in green looked exactly like Tabby, a Storyteller Talent created specifically for the MMORPG on the Disney site. Coincidence? I think not!
Clips #3 and 4:
- I love the look on Dess' face before she grabs the light! So determined! I may come to like her more after this movie. I thought she was a little annoying in the first one, and she didn't do much in the second.
- at Rosetta's reaction to the mud.
Oh my goodness ! I can see all the clips on imdb ! This is by far and away the best looking Tink film so far; it really is terribly beautiful.
I'm so glad that the quality improves with each passing Tink film; Disney are still taking their time over it, and it looks as if the films are created with real love.
Favourite parts; seeing all of Tink's friends have some major screen time, Tink sounding just like she did in Peter Pan when she talks to Lizzie, and the fact that the little girl has the same name as me
But I do have to agree with you Margos .... what on earth is 'Fairy Camp' ? It seemed as if it was a HUGE deal just for the certain fairies to go at Springtime; so I do wonder where the lack of continuity comes from ...

Well, so far, all 3 films have had different directors.... I guess we just have to wait and see, and hope it's just something we've never heard of, as opposed to a full-out continuity fail.

Oh, wow! I don't know how I missed that! I thought I heard somewhere that it was going to be a different director each time... Well then, you'd think that he wouldn't screw up his own continuity, right?
How about, once every Leap Year summer, they have to go to Fairy Camp for whatever reason they go to it in TGFR ? Would something like that be a soloution ? Or they go once every 3rd summer or something ? I'm just shooting in the dark here .... But its cool he did the first, then this one ! I wonder why he didnt do the second ...
Wow, is that true ? I wouldnt have thought that, considering the massive rewrites the movie went through, along with new animation and everything. Wouldnt have thought they would have been able to do both at the same time !
Went to see Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue today at Event Cinemas, Hamilton, New Zealand. I was going to go last week, but never got around to it.
Anyway, I thought it was quite good.
Possibly Could spoil, so I won't risk it for anyone:
The Fairy Camp basically acted as a way to get the story near the human world. The house itself is a country cottage and is close to the Fairy Camp tree. The father is work orientated and does not have time for his daughter and does not believe fairies exist. More likely to spoil Tinker Bell is looking at the car that has just driven in and instead of hiding like instructed, she decides to investigate and is followed by Vidia, who gets soaked when Tink pulls a lever under the bonnet and of course can't fly now. They come across the "Fairy House" walking back to the camp by following buttons, which Tink wants to make wheels out of and Vidia doesn't want to help carry them back and is getting annoyed with Tink. Tink spots the house and even though Vidia is trying to persuade her not to go near it, she still has to investigate. Annoyed with Tink, Vidia slams the door while Tink is inside and then the Girl comes to collect the house and Vidia is trying to desperately get the door open, while warning Tink, who thinks she's joking. Then the Girl takes Tink home and tries to tell her father that she has a fairy, but decides not to when she sees the butterfly that has not had its right wing properly painted in a jar and the looks at the butterflies on the wall in cases and decides that maybe it's not such a great idea after all. Vidia sees the same scene with the Butterflies and is full of guilt and worry. Vidia flies back to the camp (wings have somewhat dried), just as a storm is brewing.... and I feel it would be much better to l let people watch the movie than spoil it by continuing to type.
Spoiler- Ending It's funny though, at the end the father say how about not knowing how to get home, before being covered in Pixie Dust and flying home and it's like, well you know Tink could fix the car, because she caused it to stop, by disconnecting one wire. But then again it could have been a hint. I was left thinking how would they get the car back from London to the country side especially since it's just sitting in the road without much consideration. Poor bird at the start of the start of the movie too, completely overloaded
Worth watching.
No signature needed - Kyoto Animation put out some beautiful animation
Old Fish Tale wrote:Clank, Bobble and Terrence have spoken to Cheese before...
But Cheese didn't talk to them. I always thought that maybe the animals could understand the fairies, but only Animal Fairies could understand animals.... Although that doesn't really explain Tink and Blaze all that well.
In the Disney Fairy books all of the fairies can understand Mother Dove, Brother Dove and bats, but only animal talents could speak there language and adapt there manner of speaking (I.E Bats spoke with very fine manners while Fairies naturally didn't have manners at all) my guess is that the creators decided to use the same idea.
There is still no registered DVD release for this movie in the UK; they are promoting it fully as a theatrical release, so I presume the DVD will follow sometime later.
