Your Wish List

Post by luigi_atlante »

I know most of us are dvd collectors, however, I think we all have a wish list because we cannot have all the movies we like...so which items do you wish the most???
In my case I would have to say:

Nightmate before Christmas
Tha Fantasia Anthology
The Haunted Mansion
Brother Bear
Treasure Planet
The Great Mouse Detective
"Someday I will be the most powerful jedi ever"

Before I start thinking up my list, is this a list of DVDs that have already been released in the past? Or is this like, movies that we wish would come to DVD? The latter might be a tad overwhelming, though we've certainly tackled it before.

Twilight Zone
Flinstones
Jetsons
Scooby Doo
Song of the South

While I have Song of the South on my list also it is not available in the US. It was a live action / animated disney movie based on Uncle Remus stories by Joel Chandler Harris. It has not been released due to people considering it racist. If you want to see clips of it there is a great one on the Alice in Wonderland masterpiece edition DVD. There is also another clip on the Disneyland treasures DVD.

Ludwig if your talking about Flinstones and Jetsons being on DVD because there both out already. Flinstones was released in March I think and Jetsons just came out today. Both are in season sets too.

My list, strictly Disney, as this is the Disney DVD section of the forum, consists of both movies that have been released that I do not yet own, as well well as DVD's that I KNOW will be coming out in the not too distant future:

- Atlantis - CE, while this is certainly not one of my favorie films, in fact it is one of my least favorite, the fact is that I hear it is one of Disney's best Collector's Sets and I own the other 2 "Collector's Edition" DVD's: Tarzan and Emporer's New Groove. And I have a box that fits my other collector's dvd's and will fit Atlantis perfectly...

- Alice in Wonderland - ME, I have the "Gold Collection" release, but have yet to upgrade to this 2 disc release, I guess I'm just waiting for a low enough price.

- School House Rock

- Aladdin - Collector's Gift Set

- Mulan - Collecttor's Gift Set

- Pocahontas - ME

- Home on the Range

- Bambi - Platinum

- Cinderella - Platinum

- The Little Mermaid - (Collector's Gift Set) I really really hope this movie gets a gift set, in the vein of the Aladdin and TLK ones, because it deserves it!

- The Hunchback of Notre Dame - (2 disc release)

That's really all I feel like listing for now. I could keep going on, but it would get very long! Any way, my next list will be a wish list of releases I'd like to see on DVD, that are not currentlyt slated for release... :)

I think that wish lists are a combination of DVD that are availilble but we can't get for some reason and films which have not yet been released on DVD.
