Though I do love the show, don't get me wrong, I agree with you, Disney's Divinity (well, on most parts). The back 9 of the first season, even with great performances, was not up to par with the first 13 episodes. I agree that a bunch of characters were just brought in to have a name for that episode so that people would be interested in watching that particular episode. Olivia Newton-John's cameo just seemed completely weird and out of nowhere. Don't get me wrong, remaking Physical was kind of a treat, but it seemed kind of pointless and I don't think it helped the story move forward at all. Apparently, the first 6 episodes of season two have been written already and the first 13 have been pitched. I've even seen the supposed songs for the first episode for the second season (though it could just be made up, but the songs do seem to fall into place after the finale). I'm hoping that the writing for the whole entire season will flow much better and actually make sense. And, I also really hope that they create some kind of time line because the way that season one panned out it was close to summer break with basketball still going on (which doesn't make sense at all). Here's hoping!

Bonus Features:

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Glee-Season-1-Extras/13887

I'm surprised that there is only one commentary (plus it's only on the Blu-ray; which I'm fine with cause I have a Blu-ray player). I would think that the actors would love to talk about the show and record a commentary. I kind of expected at least four or five commentaries (which is normal for ABC's TV box sets, but this is Fox, so maybe commentaries aren't that high of a priority?). I'm not too keen on the dance lessons (something I'll probably never even look at) and the sing-along seems really, um, dumb (I already know the lyrics to every song except for a handful or so). I wish that they would add another disc for more features (or move those features already present to the 5th and 8th discs to make room for more commentaries). They wanted to make this set "special," but most of it I've already seen because half of the special features were on the previous Sectionals DVD, thus making it not so special. For Fox's biggest hit in probably awhile, they didn't seem to try too hard for the first season's DVD/Blu-ray set.

It also surprises me too that there's a lack of commentaries. Nearly every episode of "Family Guy" (also distributed by FOX) from Volume 3 on has an audio commentary if I remember correctly. Hopefully next season's set will be better bonus wise.

Apparently, this was announced yesterday...

http://www.amazon.com/Glee-Season-Vol-R ... B0032JTV6U
Glee Season One, Vol. 2- Road to Regionals

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Glee-Seaso ... me-2/13926

But since I didn't buy the first part of season one, I'll buy the complete season on Blu.

Thank Gawd.

Guess the outrage from fans who bought volume one was vocal enough for Fox to listen.

Since the bonouses on the Blu Ray aren't enough to make me buy the set I'll pick volume two up and then maybe buy the Blu-Ray at a later date when the price has been slashed.

O'Malley, Lynch and Chenoweth all deserve to win. Chris should win too but competiton might be really tough.

Matt and Leah won't win.

I'm hoping it will win the series award and finally knock that overrated drivel that is 30 Rock off it's pedestal. Modern Family may pose a threat, but that show is not the phenomenon Glee is and will probably have a good many more seasons to win its award.

I'm really excited that Glee received 19 nominations. That's quite spectacular considering it's the first season of the show. I also think that 30 Rock should be put on an ice floe because of what I've seen of it, it's not that great or funny. I really do want Lea, Matt and Kristin to win. Out of all the actors/actresses who were nominated for the show, I do believe that they are the best on the series and are most deserving. Yay Glee!

Personally, I like Chenoweth a smidgeon of a bit more than Menzel, but I thought Idina was more worthy of a nomination...

Still, no qualms here! I'm very happy with all the nominations!

Possible Spoiler Warning!!!

In case you didn't know, Filipino singer Charice Pempengo has signed on to star as a foreign exchange student for the second season of Glee.

Now read this...
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino teenage singer Charice Pempengco says she prepared for her debut on the hit TV show "Glee" by getting Botox and an anti-aging procedure "to look fresh on camera."

The 18-year-old Charice, whose singing career rocketed after appearing on Ellen DeGeneres' and Oprah Winfrey's talk shows, underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox to make her "naturally round face" more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.

Charice, in the same interview, said last week's face makeover was part of her big preparations for her appearance on the hit show's second season. She starts filming at the end of this month.

"All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure," Charice said.

In an earlier TV interview, she said she auditioned for "Glee" in mid-June in Los Angeles and was thankful to have been accepted.

"It's really a blessing," she said, adding she was "very proud to be an Asian, very proud to be Filipino."

Born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco and raised with her brother by a single mother, she sang in local contests and appeared on TV talent shows in the Philippines and South Korea before she got a big break on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" at age 15.

She later appeared several times on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" and credits Winfrey for helping push her career.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/1 ... 50806.html

Apparently, "thermage" is a facial, so that's not bad, I guess, but Botox at 18? Judging from the picture provided in the article she is already a pretty girl and I feel sorry that she feels she has to get this work done in preparation for her acting gig.

And before the debates start, I'm sure Glee producers didn't ask her to get this done. Nowadays plastic surgery is pretty much looked down upon in Hollywood, and they're probably freaking out about how natural it looks, and what bad publicity they might incur from this.

Hopefully, for this young girl's sake alone, the surgery is not too extreme.

I really hope they don't screw this episode up. There's so many things that can easily (and unintentionally) go wrong in it.

I love Glee it's my favorite show!!! I have been a fan of Lea Michelle since Spring Awakening and she is fantastic! And of course Jonathan Groff is amazing. And Jane Lynch is a riot as well!!! I also love Chis Colfer he is fantastic. I really hope that the second season is beter than the back 9. Not that they were terrible but they lacked the special something the first 13 episodes had. Overall this show is amazing!!! I think it would be awesome if they did a Disney themed episode. Imagine Kurt singing "God Help the Outcasts" and Sue belting "Poor Unfortunate Souls" haha

And I agree Julie Andrews NEEEEEEDS to be on the show as Kurt's grandma!
