The only great idea you had was the revelation that Song of the South and Mary Poppins both came out in years featuring 1, 9, 4, and 6.
Double-features have been around forever, and has been an option on home video in the past 10 years as well. It's nothing new. The pairings you suggest have all been suggested by Disney fans before, you're not exactly the first.

What do you mean?Escapay wrote:The only great idea you had was the revelation that Song of the South and Mary Poppins both came out in years featuring 1, 9, 4, and 6.
Well, I just thought it was a good idea, that's all. Besides, like I said, that's how serious a Disney fan I am. I think the fact that I have Asperger's must have something to do with it...Double-features have been around forever, and has been an option on home video in the past 10 years as well. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to make a point.

Which is what I'm trying to do here. Of course, there will probably come a time when Blu-ray will eventually eclipse regular DVDs and become the end-all of home video. Only time will tell, though.Goliath wrote:It really isn't hard for Disney to figure out: what they need to do is put out good dvd's, with enough decent bonus features, instead of keeping them all exclusively from the 80% of the people who still buy dvd, in favor of the 20% who buy Bluray.
No new concepts needed. Just do things right.

I'm planing on putting "Walt and El Grupo" in my classics collection to serve AS my copy of "Saludos Amigos." I'm viewing the film as the release with the documentary as the best extra ever!tlc38tlc38 wrote:No offense but I don't like the idea of pairing ANY Disney movies together. That's why I still have my GC Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos. I want to be able to put them on my shelf in order and with separate cases.
