I don't want to discuss why I prefer to watch the film in 2D. I just want to know.

No, you can't really. Well, you could but you really shouldn't. Without the glasses, the images are very blurry and watching it will be very strenuous for the eyes, causing you headaches at least. You could just go see a 2D version in cinemas but I figure you're probably asking this because your local theater doesn't show a 2D version of the movie, right?

No, the glasses you wear sort of "merges" two separate images, and without them those images on the screen will look doubled and out of focus, like this example: http://www.atu2blog.com/wp-content/uplo ... lasses.jpg

With any luck they'll release the movie for the 3DS so we can enjoy TS3 in 3D without the need for glasses.

Toy Story Mania is also a great candidate for the 3DS.

You guessed it right. Didn't they show the movie in 2D in the US?

Shouldn't people have a choice how they want to see the film? I would love to see the film in the theater and I have been looking forward to it, but I'd hate to see it in 3D.

Yeah, it was show in 2D. In the town nearest of me there are two theaters. One plays the movie in 2D, the other in 3D.

I don't mind 3D that much, but it does suck that movie goers don't get to have a say on what they want to see.

Indeed. I remember Toy Story from when I was a little kid, and have seen it (and its sequel) many times on home video since then. It wouldn't be Toy Story to me, if I couldn't see it the way I saw the previous two films. Call me sentimental, but I really feel that way. I just want to see a good film; I don't need to be 'impressed' with all kind of gimmicks and gadgets... (No, I'm not 80 years old.)

It seems the only way I can watch it in 2D in cinemas is in the Dutch dubbing.

I just found the greatest review of TS3 that, I think, totally sums it all up, from a commenter on Disney Film Project.....

I thought the EXACT same thing when I was deciding whether or not to watch it in 3D. In the end, 2D was a good choice. I will never know how the 3D showing would have gone, but I enjoyed Toy Story 3 very, very much to not need any special things to up my enjoyment. (I'd rather go to Target and spend the few extra bucks getting candy.)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I don't like how *everything* is 3D these days. I wonder how long the hype will last before everybody gets tired of it. Damn Cameron and his Avatar!

I really, really, *really* want to find out who made the decision to only release Toy Story 3 in 2D in the Dutch dubbed version! I wanna strangle him to death. Then I want to bring him back alive. Then strangle him again.

No doubt about it, that is a hilarious read. But it looks more like someone simply wrote a review in a different language, posted it into an online translator, then copied the results here without considering the difference in word choices, verb tenses, etc. Unless they really write like that, and all i can do is

It makes me think of something Roger Rabbit would say. Maybe that's the next step with the Toy Story series. Bonnie moves to LA, and the toys get lost in Toontown. Insanity ensues.

I just want to see some kind of duet or girl-power team action-sequence involving Jessie and Jessica. And I wonder what kind of interesting and original way they will come up with making Buzz magically deluded again in Toontown..... Roger trying to break through Potato Head's cynical potato skin with his hilarious antics would be amusing, too.
