Would anyone be willing to help me (with homework?)

Post by DaveWadding »

Okay, I am taking this summer school class (required in my program) and one of the assignments is that I have to interview someone who learned English as a Second Language about their experiences learning English/being a non-native speaker).

I was just not going to do it (because I could still get an A without it), but my guilty conscience is gonna kill me if I don't. IT would only take...maybe half an hour. This thingy is due Thursday morning, so if anyone would be willing to help me out, it would be much appreciated.

Well, I'm Dutch, so I had to learn English. What do you want to know and how are you planning on interviewing me? Do I have to fill in a form? Or do you want to do it by phone? I warn you: it's expensive calling with The Netherlands! :P

Just over AIM or whatever. Or Skype if you're into that. We could just do it on here if you care about people knowing that kind of thing about you. Nothing ridiculously personal.

I too learned to speak and write in English. If you want a second person to interview let me know via PM, e-mail or AIM.

I'm not on AIM or Skype. Do you want to do an 'open' interview, where you can ask further questions based on my answers; or do you already have a list of questions that need to be answered? In the latter case, you could drop me an IM with the questions. In case you want to do such a direct, 'open' interview, you might want to ask pap64, as he says he is on AIM.

Goliath: My apologies if you were interested in participating and I took the opportunity away.

Dave: It was really fun doing the interview and I hope you do great on the paper! :)
