If that is true, then why would Disney leave out, "Rapunzel," for Mattel besides changing the name to, "Tangled," for Mattel? UmbrellaFish has the answer:

But it says "featuring" which does not imply a title, but rather the name of the doll. See, Disney's trying to have their cake and eat it, too- They renamed the whole movie to make it gender-friendly, but they certainly don't want little girls to forget to buy Rapunzel dolls.

I don't see any confusion about it. After all, Disney is trying to aim both boys and girls, instead of just girls. Who knows, maybe Disney might change the name for the brand...maybe.

I don't know if this was ever posted, and it's a very small detail, but I think I found the name of Rapunzel's solo song. On the Amazon.com page for one of the dolls(http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Tangled-Fe ... 50&sr=8-18 ), in the product description, it says the song is called "I see the light". Sorry if this was posted before...

I saw the Tangled teaser with Toy Story 3 today, and I was very disappointed with it. Only the bit with the horse laughing at Flynn amused me in any way. Unless the theatrical trailer or word of mouth are awesome, I may rent or even skip this movie. This is coming from a diehard Disney fan and one of the males that they were targeting with the title change, so the teaser represents a failure for Disney's marketing department.

I see no problem with the teaser trailer from Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," but I understand that Disney refuses to change the name back to, "Rapunzel," but here it goes. The trailer would be a lot better if it is called, "Rapunzel," besides, "Tangled." Maybe then, it will be pleased by both boys and girls alike, and they would be looking forward on seeing it. At least that there IS a, "Rapunzel," trailer, besides the, "Tangled," trailer, online instead of in theaters before the feature presentation of, "Toy Story 3." For the record, I give the trailer a grade, "C+." However, if they change the name back to, "Rapunzel," and brought the name, "Rapunzel," for the teaser trailer against, "Tangled," then I give the trailer a grade, "Infinite A+."

Although I'm over all OK with the trailer (meaning I don't think it's horrible but I would've preferred something with a bit more class) the audience that I saw the trailer with responded well to it. I went to a 5pm showing of Toy Story 3, and I'd have to say that the demographics' were spread pretty even. I saw some elderly couples, 3 high school guys, a separate of group os 5 high school girls, a few full families, and so on. There was a lot of laughter at appropriate points (Flynn's smolder and pascal) and i heard a little girl somewhere say "look it's Rapunzel!" when she entered the screen. I think on some level the trailer must work because it seems neutral for everyone. All I hope is that we get a trailer that appeals to us die-hard fans and boasts the whole 50th animated feature thing. I think that if the general public were aware of this amazing feat, they might get into the film more.

Well, that's an interesting detail! That could be really a beautiful scene if it is done correctly, wow!

Oh, and the audience at the showing of TS3 I went to ate up the trailer like candy. Everyone laughed their butts off. But I gotta say, the animation looked even better on the big screen than it did on the computer. I just loved it!

When I went to see Toy Story 3 my local theater showed the Tangled trailer and everyone was laughing (even the adults and teenagers) specially when the little lizard tells Rapunzel to hit him. Tangled and Despicable Me were the only trailer people were laughing at.

We weren't shown either of those trailers last night, only Megamind and the new Tron movie.

I saw Toy Story 3 three times over the weekend. Each time the trailer was received positively.

Jeez, did you go see this at the Constant Downer Cineplex? Seriously, ours had maybe 5 small kids, 10 teens, 10 young adults and 5 middle-aged people, all of mixed genders. Everyone cracked up at every tiny little gag, even those that really aren't that funny. The little boy across the aisle from my brother and I grabbed his mom's sleeve and did the really-loud-whisper-thing: "I have to see that!" and she grinned and really-loudly-whispered, "Yeah, it looks funny!"
Seriously, they couln't get enough of it.

Yeah, my theater also ate up the Tangled trailer. The biggest laugh came from the shot of Pascal punching his fist, but the smolder and the dropped mass of hair gags also got good laughs. Then again, my theater was really enthusiastic about everything that night. So while this teaser trailer's misleading, it's doing its job: it's making people want to see the film. I suspect the full-length trailer will be aimed more at us and give us a more accurate look at the movie as a whole. It'll probably be attached to Secretariat.

I just saw the trailer on YouTube (still haven't seen TS3 yet) and I really liked it. It's definitely working on attracting people to see the film. Hopefully, I'll be able to see it.
