I am all for Disney Channel movies being released on DVD, but "The Cheetah Girls" isn't what I wanted. The movie wasn't terrible, but the film is full of annoying slang that is un-understandable and some of the music is just terrible. I don't mind pop music, but if you can't stand it, steer clear of this movie. The film tries to pull off a girl power theme, even though all of the characters show their week points, and at the end of the film, they didn't really acomplish anything. I wish Disney would release the "Zenon" films. Maybe even a three pack after the third one is played.

THE CHEETAH GIRLS this is the worst Disney Movie ever!
Raven is a horrible actress in the movie and in her tv series.
I can't believe Raven is on television.

Kirsten Storms looks passable for a 17 year old. I am not sure how old she really is. But Disney Channel is known for hiring actors who are older than the character they play, but still look young. A good example of this is Adam Lamberg, who played Gordo on "Lizzie McGuire." He was 16 when the show started, playing a 13 year old. By the time the movie was made, He was 18 playing a 15 year old.
In response to MickeyMousePal's comments, "The Cheetah Girls" wasn't a great movie, but is definatley not the worst Disney Channel Movie. Did you ever see "Hounded," "The Thirteenth Year," or "Stepsister From Planet Weird?" In my opinion, those are the worst. And I like Raven, but I didn't like her in "Cheetah Girls." I think she should stick to her comedy on "That's So Raven" which is the funniest Disney Channel series since "Even Stevens."
By the way, If this DVD sells well, maybe we will one day have "The Even Stevens Movie" on DVD!

Defy Gravity...
Some old guys are short, some young guys are tall. I had a friend who was 6'5 at the age of sixteen, and I'm 6'1. And then I also knew a couple guys around fourteen/fifteen who were only like 5'.Prince Adam wrote:18????? He's really short...compared to Ashlie Brillaut (sp?), anyway.
On topic, I never saw Cheetah Girls and don't really care to, but like others have said, hopefully this means Disney will start releasing more original movies on DVD. This is the second one announced so far so I'm betting there will in fact be more.

^^
That appears to be the reason for the DVD release of the original movie.

How weird. I remember hearing that the show had been stopped by Raven. I read that she is almost done filming the third season of "That's So Raven," Than she is making a movie, and then she is going to culinary school. I wonder if she gave up college and the movie for this show. I can't see it actually doing well on ABC.

What about The Cosby Show? Hanging With Mr Cooper? Zenon?MickeyMousePal wrote:THE CHEETAH GIRLS this is the worst Disney Movie ever!

I haven't seen this movie, but I do like Raven, and I think it looks alright. However, I'm with everyone else in thinking that there are MANY Disney Channel Original Movies that belong on DVD long before this.
But we want it to do well, so that Disney may invest in future releases of the Disney Channel movies we do want, even if this TV show (by the way, wtf??) is the cause for it.

I liked this movie. Do I believe it's the best Disney Channel Movie? No, but not the worst either. I will be buying this....and even though I HATE Frankie Muniz, I still plan on getting Miracle in Lane 2 , to help get all the Disney Channel Movies released.
I think one thing that might have helped Disney choose this movie was that the soundtrack was in the top 50 chart, I’m guessing they’re thinking if people want the music they must want the movie too.
